I've never seen an anime based on Brazil before, I like this one for that kind of focus. Michiko reminds me of Haruko because of her attitude, her vespa, and her violence. But she's definitely her own kind of badass. Hatchin seems (IMO) a little too mature for her age, she should perhaps have been cast as like 13-ish or something. I just don't know kids at her mental level at her age. But she does some age appropriate stuff. I didn't really understand the two episodes with the Russian guy and then the bull fight. I thought the second one was too unbelievable, especially having Michiko hide in that soup pot and then catch a sword.

What kind of discussions do we want to have here?

Specifically? I think reactions and the things we think about the anime. What we liked, didn't like, etc.

Also we could overanalyze it. That's always fun. Or point out the weird parts, like for example, why do all these Brazilians have Japanese first names?

Because many Japanese fled to Brazil after WW2 along with nazis. A big social issue in Japan in the 90s was 3rd gen Japanese coming back to Japan from Brazil not being able to speak Japanese well or "knowing" anything about Japan.

The purpose is to make more people participate. Overwatch for example is one of the best in terms of watching, so he may pick January's anime instead of Vami.

Also, people can always take the easy way out and watch Angel's Egg.

Whatever happened to the yellow team members just really liking curry? Although the first ever yellow female died in the first 10eps of her show and had to be replaced.
