Just be elitist about the pleb anime you watch, or spice up your vocabulary. Here are some buzzwords that you can say to sound really intelligent:

-Deconstruction

-Seinen

-Juxtaposition

-Motif

-Theme

-Appreciate

-Underrated


Before you might have said: "I like Naruto." Now you will say: "I appreciate Naruto for being a deconstruction of seinen anime, the juxtaposition between motifs and themes was where it really excelled, and it sucks that it's so underrated in the eyes of the critics".

Another thing you could do is say a popular opinion that everyone's thinking and say it's a controversial opinion.

If you really want to offend or hurt someone, insult their Shinji.

Just like whatever you like. Every discussion about a hobby boils down to a binary "like it"/"don't like it". Not everyone will like the same things as you do, but at the end of the day it's just yet another opinion in the sea of noise that is the internet. Also opinions are not authority, so there's no real reason to be upset about others'.

Part of my recent mech trade, I also got my hands on a robot damashii figure from the anime Zegapain - this is the 'Garuda' mech from the show.









Apparently most of its armor/weaponry are supposed to be solid light holograms. Logistics and probabilities of such tech aside, it's a good excuse for copious amounts of clear plastic, resulting in a beautiful neony explosion of color.
