Are you saying it wasn't friendly bants before? I'm just tired of seeing this year after year and I have no qualms about making friendliness itself a bannable offense if it makes my day less irritating.

Are you saying it wasn't friendly bants before? I'm just tired of seeing this year after year and I have no qualms about making friendliness itself a bannable offense if it makes my day less irritating.

Anyway. To put it less in terms of jimmies and their respective rustling. It was an interesting topic once, back when there were still people around who could have an interesting discussion about it, and in that context it was funny to have silverdream et al hovering around the fringes being blandly toxic in the most generically yawn-inspiring way. But that was a long time ago, and those people are long gone, and now all that's left is the toxicity.

As a side note. I don't know who came up with this idea that "bants" is a justification for anything, but it's pretty dumb. What's the logic there? I'm supposed to be making value distinctions based on whether it's "friendly" or whether you "really meant it" or what? I don't care about any of that. I care that the forums have this toxic element and I'd rather they didn't.

I think there will always be a new batch of teens that find Piltogg to be intriguing and say words about racy things.
Then the older people join in the fun, or cause it.

There are only so many edgy things to say, so eventually it will get repeated.

We would need to be constantly inventing new races to be racist against.

Isn't this a little bit of the rose-tinted glasses thing? I tried a couple times in my first few months on the forums to join in on actual discussions about topics such as these, but they just get toxic quickly. I think what you said about the toxic environment could be right, but I haven't been on the forum for too long. However, saying there are not people around who could have interesting discussions and views on matters like discrimination seems like a giant swooping statement. Then again, I do not know your definition of 'interesting' in this context. For all I know it could just be people burping out the names of all presidents who owned slaves.
