Music Other Than Metal
This might get thunderdumbed really quick but sometimes we need to listen to something that isn't metal(except duerer the man is a metal fiend)
1 Rule: no troll or meme songs. Let me give you an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWSAI9d3Vxk despite how many lulz you get from it.

Re: Music Other Than Metal
I like a bit of Devin Townsend. He straddles a few different prog genres, including some metal, although tending towards rock. While it is a little different to what he usually does, Ziltoid The Omniscient is probably my favourite of his albums. No YT vids of the full album, so I'll just leave this.
Anyway, now that the pretense that I don't listen to anything but David Bowie is out of the way, let's talk about that.
Diamond Dogs is my favourite. It's the last of Bowie's glam-rock albums, and generally the least remembered of the four, although Rebel Rebel remains one of Bowie's most well known tracks. Diamond Dogs channels George Orwell's 1984, with a lot of content originally earmarked for a stage production Bowie had hoped to produce. It's got grit and glitter in equal proportions. No longer is Bowie singing about androgynous spacemen or the rock and roll lifestyle, here he is singing about a broken dysfunctional society. The album also has a sort of punk feel to it in the imagery.
Station to Station is another favourite. This album was Bowie reaching out to the world from the dark pit in which he found himself in. The LA lifestyle and copious amounts Cocaine had done a number of Bowie. Around this time bowie converted to fascism, openly endorsing it on TV. Bowie was also convinced that witches were trying to steal his semen, and he even had an encounter with satan in his swimming pool. So yeah, don't do cocaine kids or you'll become a fascist. Cannabis is a safer and cheaper. Eventually Bowie went to Berlin to detox from all the cocaine, where he produced the Berlin trilogy, which are widely considered Bowie's most experimental albums.

This forum needs to listen more Mr fucking Bungle. It does have influences of metal but is overall quite full of variation.
Among Polish Rock/New Wave I can recommend you Kult and Republika:

Have fun with this haunting melody:
If you're not into Metal you are not my friend!

^Creepy, but enjoyable.
Yugoslav war songs are another of my musical guilty pleasures and I might be on the edge with these.
