Maw Fiend
Many different horrors roam the demon-realm of the Abyss, the Maw Fiend being one of the lesser ones. It is a simple-minded, primal creature, perpetually driven by insatiable hunger and the need to consume. Its appearance reflects its cursed nature: it is a lumbering behemoth made of rotting flesh, with its stomach split open and guts ripped out. It has huge long hands to reach out and grasps its prey and a giant maw with enormous teeth that can rip almost anything to shreds. Despite its brutish appearance, the Maw Fiend is rather agile and capable of sudden dashes in order to incapacitate its prey. Its preferred food is meat, usually that of the living. Summoning a Maw Fiend is a perilous and often foolish venture, since the summoner can very likely end up as the creature's appetizer after being ripped from its natural habitat.
