Iceworld - Jotun-Class Mechsuit

Post by Zahru II » Mon Oct 27, 2014 5:01 am

The Iceworlder colonists of Jotunn-IV had to realize that their newfound frigid paradise is just as infested with Ice Demons as their homeland Krysto. In order to combat the menace they represent and to safely continue their operations, the Jotun-Class Mech was developed. Using alien technology enhanced with OT, the Jotun is formidable asset in both carving through thick ice and ice demons alike.

That's a great Mechsuit, indeed. I like the use of OT armor plates on that think. But, if I may ask, do you crap out these suits or how do you manage to make a shitton of them?

I actually had this WIP for a good 2-2,5 weeks because of bricklink part orders not getting in. The other two were part of a sudden "man I wanna build something cool" binge I had yesterday, which ended up with running out of balljoint bricks and exhausting most of my mech-maker type of parts.
Once you come up with a design you're satisfied with it's easy to replicate/iterate on that. Most of the challenge comes from figuring out clearance for the mask pieces and trying to fill the gaps created by them. Obviously this was not an issue here since the CCBS is specifically designed with these shapes in mind by default.

After personal dissatisfaction and listening to constructive criticism (get it?) I made some mods:
