While being attacked by an old photographer who was trying to take a picture of a man with a wooden leg (which didn't work out, as wooden legs don't work well for taking pictures), the space pirate hurriedly dumps his coffee on the floor in an attempt to get his attacker to try to save the beverage from its inevitable demise, and escape.
