Boy, let me hearken back to yesteryear and try to remember how that happened... I guarantee it had something to do with market-testing to European kids. The first year of KK2 was aimed at five-year-olds, and five-year-olds wanted a knight who always tricked the other knights, and the market testing said that tricking people meant monkeys.

They had some wuss-type monkey on the shield when I first landed on the project, so I had them change it to a baboon/orangutan-looking thing so that if they had to have a monkey at least it would look like a tough monkey. His name wasn't Rascus back then either, he was named after a pro wrestler instead. Same beard and everything, I now notice.

I still have the original concept art I did for them back before they got rainbow-ized, I should look that up and see if I can find his original monkey heraldry.

I was arranging my main army the other day, and I realized that I didn't have a good NCO or Secondary Hero, so I did the obvious thing.

Create a secondary character from a Dr.Seuss play. (Ogel and Silva should know what I'm talking about.)

General Genghis Khan Van Schmitz:

My poor attempt and shorts and boots. (Shapie Fail, too) :(

Yay I got that reference. The legs look a little weird, but I doubt I could do it better.
An army marches on its stomach, and its favorite food is fudge.

I plan to replace them with the shorts from The Series 2 Adventurer/Tourist, if I can get ahold of one.

Just do 1x1 black plate instead of the pointed toes.
