Heck, even the prequels themselves are almost better than R1 (At least they were a bit more cheerful).
It was badly scripted, badly cast, badly acted and the CGI was bullshit.
Not trying to have a go at you, I just really hated that film.
At first I thought there were way too many humans in it, and then when I saw some CGI aliens, I suddenly wished the humans were back again.
So...yeah. The ending wasn't TOO bad though (By the ending I meant the Darth Vader scene, which was good, but CGI lea wasn't perfect (To me, they should have just left her out, and definitely should have excluded Tarkin. They just didn't add anything to the film, they were way to clunky) but everyone's deaths were meaningless. They were just too similar and quick, and we never got to know the characters (The only one I actually pitied was the Imperial customs officer on Scarif!) enough to feel for them.
I mean, seriously, it just wasn't up to much.

Lol its fine we are allowed our own opinions. I have to say though, I felt more for the droves of Imperials that where killed rather more so than the main characters. k2-s0 had the most character to him, and he was a droid XD.
Just think about it, all those storm troopers that where killed, what if they all had wives,
children.
The Rebel Alliance is a father killing terrorist group! And yeah, I think everyone's favourite scene was Darth cutting through Rebels. But I'm always rooting for the Imperial/Empire faction in a story. I feel empires are often portrayed as more evil than they are. (Well in the Star Wars Empires case it truly was evil).
