I don't know why, but that pirahna mech cracks me up. I had to get one! It's kind of derpy, don't get me wrong, but it just kind of screams Brikwars.

However...

It is hard to see in the photo, but the printing on Misako's face isn't as crisp as it could be. Probably because it is yellow printing on a black minifig head, but the yellow is washed out IRL. The photo shows it brighter than it actually is.

I also got my hands on the Pizza Truck from the City line, and the Batman Dune Buggy because I wanted the Captain Boomerang figure. A friend and I are toying with building a chunk of Lego Gotham City, JUST to have a DC-themed Brikwar. He's big into the DC and Marvel sets, and I've been a fan of Batman for a while. Now I just have to figure out how to make the Lego Doom Patrol.

Yeah, sadly all Misako prints are guffed like that, in every set she's in. I wound up simply swapping it for a better headpiece.

That kind of sucks. Oh well, s'not like I don't have a crapton of other heads I can swap it with. But it does mean if I get a second one of those, it'll be the same issue. Slightly annoying.

Has there ever been a painted ink color that matches the yellow plastic color?

I don't know enough about it to have an answer.

I'm a bit of a fan of brutalism. Is the book any good? Also, what's the guide to the new ruins of great britain? At a guess I'd think the crumbling and combusting tower blocks of the thatcher era.

Finding Brutalism? yes, it's good. It's a collection of photos of New Brutalist buildings around Britain, along with some essays on British Brutalism.

I haven't read it yet, but A Guide to the New Ruins of Great Britain is about the architectural wreckage left by a more recent British government: Blair's New Labour. I was actually at the CCA to see a lecture by the author: https://youtu.be/xFKz5-cuBVQ. One of the essays in Finding Brutalism was also written by him.

Scored a 60-drawer organizer from my office dumpster, so I spent some time yesterday redoing my brick organization.
