Swivel Chair+Rockets+Golf Club

Post by Leprechaun » Tue Aug 04, 2009 8:33 pm

Im thinking about starting a new army made up of regular people with a wee bit of "kick" thrown in. So, a guy takes a golf club. He takes a swivel chair. and he borrows some propulsion rockets from a nearby military base.

well, there it is. the Idea was a rocket-propelled office chair, but then I looked at the size of the wheels I had.
Damnit! Where's my camera?

Ah it's great to see some originality. Build that army, it'll be awesome.

If you think the wheels are disproportionate then use something besides wheels. It doesn't have to actually roll.

I like it either way.

look at the size of chair wheels, there tiny, they would have like a 1/3 stud width, I've always noticed that lego cars made by LEGO have huge wheels that come up to minifigures waists!
Kerbal Rocketry(my youtube with actual videos on it!)

I meant use something that looks like it could be wheels, but weren't actually wheels.

I was thinking a few of these would be more on scale.

indeed...but, after all, would those wheels be able to hold the momentum and inertia of the rockets? I want to send him into enemy lines (literally, crashing into them) and beating the shit out of someones head, not trying to do that and ending up with his head buried in concrete with his chair flinging about wildly. although, that would do about the same amount of damage...

The better question is whether it matters if it would stay together or not.

The chair, if made out of steel, would be able to handle the rockets. However, there wouldn't be any rolling, it'd be flying. That and the bonds the rockets are held may possibly break, resulting in utter devestation to the chair.
Remember, there are no such thing as Athiests in foxholes. There's also no such things as foxes in foxholes.

Well, I built the army and redesigned the chairs, so here we go.
The Hero

The Artillery, comprised of a toy rocket launch set, a stolen not-so-toy rocket, and one nerd+college professor

I'd replace the silly on the chairs with one cylindrical pip, to make it more realistic and in-scale with minifigs.
