Thanks for the comments guys. The grand stands are a last min build. The whole arena was a group build and the guy that was going to build the grandstands ended up being too busy to work on them. So they will be much grander later on. Also we will be building moto-cross ramps and such, plus stuff for a stunt show of some sort. The idea is to have three different events going on during friday, saturday, and sunday at brick fair. Also I only put those few mini-figs on the stands just for the picture. At the convention we will have <a href='http://tinyurl.com/y42zurt'>alot</a> more, plus cars being parked in the grass behind, along with some motor homes and such. There will be more pictures of the layout when I get back.
As far as the turbines, there are a total of 10. All motorized. Original plan is to run 9 of them while one is under repair. Not sure if we will do the whole under repair thing at brick magic or not. Ran out of time for getting the construction crew together.
