Annoying little kids on LEGO message boards
So I've been reading the thread in the DesignByME section about pieces people wanted in LDD, because I thought it would be interesting. Turns out it's a thread full of little kids posting "OMG ALL TEH CLONE PIECES" "OMG COMMANDER CODY" "OMG ALL SW PIECES" etc.
There have been numerous posts made by reasonable thinking people (including me) saying that people would buy clones in bulk off of LDD or pick-a-brick for the (dare I say it) smarter ones, and TLG, Lucasarts and retailers would lose money.
I commented on the wanting of SW pieces, saying that it would limit creativity, and this would defeat the purpose of LDD which is about making your own stuff.
Someone replied saying that the "space skeleton bodies" as it's called in LDD remind them of droids right away or something along those lines, and said they might as well have the droid head and legs because they already have the bodies and arms. Apparently they don't realize that those pieces are used in other sets, and TLG intentionally omitted tan from the colours list to stop this kind of thing from happening (I assume).
Someone else said that they could make the clones not buyable, but that's just fucking pointless.
I just- ugh. This thread pisses me off. So I'll link you to it to witness the drooling SW fanboy-ness that is the majority of the LEGO message boards community.

I'm talking about the people who are either totally dependent on technology, sissy little shits that can't man up to anything, living in poverty, working in a sweatshop, or walking around with a knife and kill their best friend at the slightest spark of anger.
So about 95% of this generation is fucked up to the extreme.

Some highlights from that forum.
"i hate it when u can't find the peice u r lookin for!"
"the rest of the exo force robot parts (all colors except gold, cos that ruins its rareness)"
Oh, and don't try to reason with them aoffan23. It's like the fight against cancer. Sure you try and think your getting it, but it's just pointless. Then when you finally do get it, they all become vampire zombies.

You do realize you're complaining about little kids... Who are on a kids forum... About kids toys...
Just a thought.

It's not about the little kids themselves, it's about the fanboyism that has consumed a beloved childhood (and present age) toy of ours, ruining any ability to have decent input or comments on the website. I realize the site is for kids, I realize every time I go on the site that I'm not of the target age.
