War Machine Insructions

Hey, does anyone know how to make fairly quick and simiple war machines? Were talking tanks, apcs, hardsuits, buggies, etc.
Any and all tips/advice/insrtuctions would be helpful, having a hard time building anything combat-worthy.

okay, well then get some bricks, and then lay them into the shapes you want. make sure the studs go into the BOTTOM sides of bricks to attach them. put some seats on em, and then some minifigs. wheels are also a good idea, to make things roll.

You know that’s not what I meant. I meant cool and fairly easy to build vehicle ideas and instructions. Now no more being a smartass.

well crap, that's basically all it IS. broad ideas will give you broad results! all legos ARE is putting bricks together, so we'd need a bit more clarity on what you want built. if you ask "how do i build the chassis for a tank", we can help you there. asking "how do i builded war machine" will get you nowhere.

Problem is, links like those are classified as "Oooh, shiny" by people. Which means, the images look cool, but its generally useless since all it does is make you jealous. Some actual instructions would be nice.

I'm really not sure how to help you, since I don't have my Lego with me at the moment. It's all upstairs. I'll fiddle around with it for you, and see what I can come up with.

look at nice elements, try to recreate them.
take random parts put them together in random ways till you get something that looks cool.

that is how i usually build engines, weapons and other things

the rest of the vehicle is an afterthought.

1:
find a piece that looks cool.

2:
try to seat a minifig on it.

3:
add stuff until the minifig can sit on or in it

4:
add weapons.

Precisely,

Cool pieces make cool vehicles
it's as simple as that,
and of course mega awesome building skills.
but the cool pieces are waaay more important
at least in smallish things.
once you start building in a massive scale, building skill will get important, if only for structural integrity. i.e buildings that do not fall apart from looking at them.
