And besides, excess really seems to go hand-in-hand with Brikwars.
Anyway, there's really no plot or anything...

Here's the first half of my force. The mighty Juggertank and invincible Apokalypse Krawler loom over the rest of my army. Aside from them, I've got an Imperial Dropship, a Rebel Speeder, three Republic Walkers, a squad of pirate musketeers, some knights, a Troll, a mercenary Ninja (one of my heroes), a long-range self-propelled artillery vehicle, and several squads of undead skeleton warriors with their commander, the Black Knight Skeleton. Oh, and a bright yellow jousting buggy
The second half of my forces consists of a platoon of cannons with soldier gunners, a jeep, an assault krawler, my Megalomaniac Wizard, and that's about it.
Here are my brother's forces. His most impressive unit is the drill-fronted black tank, backed up by his Dragons, an Ork squad that I lent him, some Mega Battle Bots, small rock monsters, an impressive tower on top of which he has his magic casters, a troll, some cavalry, and miscellaneous infantry units.
This is our terrain. We built some random structures for the battlefield. Missing from this picture is our massive headhunter's temple, covered in plastic heads and surmounted by a massive godlike smiley face, which you'll see later, I promise. The feature we had the most fun with was the boy scout camp in the middle. We based a lot of the scouts on people we knew. Anyway, the scout camp has a couple of scoutmasters, some scouts, and various scouty things, like a fishing rod, a tent, and rifles.
I take my first shot with my SPA at the scout camp, clipping the palm tree and starting a fire. A well-meaning firefighter rushes to the scene. Notice the scoutmaster polishing his motorcycle. Oh, and one of the scouts is a pyromaniac (this was someone we really knew), and I believe he's trying to set the porta-potty on fire.
My brother's forces are moving out.
Another terrain feature. It's just a random bar, with the head of a hero from a previous BrikWar preserved in a crystal globe filled with alcohol. The hero was named Doctor Giggles, he was such an epic character that we decided to give him a cameo. His head is still alive, and can perform Psychik feats.
My bombardment of the scout camp begins in earnest. The porta-potty is obliterated and the tent is blown away. The scoutmaster's motorcycle is knocked over. The motorcycle scoutmaster's head flies a fair distance before coming to rest, and the other scoutmaster is incinerated in the blast.
Chaos ensues. As fires pop up all over the camp, several scouts form a barricade and take up rifles. The firefighter desperately dives into the cover they've created.
The camp is devastated. Zach has somehow survived all of this and is trying to set a similarly lucky tree on fire.
My Krawler continues an inexorable advance.
Now, this scene is kind of complicated. Earlier, my brother's magi tried to generate a tornado and send it at my forces, but they failed miserably and instead created a minitwister that's wreaking havoc among his forces. That lady on the ground has been thrown several times, and the whirlwind just blew away her hair (don't ask), and dropped her face-first on the ground.
My armies advance.
The scouts reinforce their barricade. One of the younger scouts is checking the motorcycle for useable parts.
My brother's advance becomes a bit messy as his tank accidentally runs over the Mega Battle Bots.
My brother's main force moves out.
More of the same.
And yet another unlucky ally strays into the path of my brother's tank.
The scout's tenuous stronghold...
...has one wall shattered by another artillery blast. Zach is still alive, running to the barricade with barbed wire in his hand. The scout who a moment ago was examining the motorcycle dives into a box of rope.
One of John's dragons begins to breath fire at the bar on a whim...
...and the resulting explosion of alcohol completely annihilates the surrounding area. Doctor Giggles' head is vaporized.
John's tank crushes another victim; a mage who fell off of the tower due to a misfired spell.
The magi on the tower (they've been steadily moving the tower forward with Magikal power), decide to summon a squad of zombies as reinforcements.
They are successful, but fail to summon the skeletal warriors in a very desirable position...
The devastation thus far.
Meanwhile, this is the boy scout who tried to hide in a crate of rope, but unfortunately, well, I don't really need to tell you what happened here.
My brother's entire tank is overturned by a poorly executed spell.
I send a squad of grenade-toting redcoats into a bunker.
My skeletons and ninja advance. My SPA continues the bombardment.
A street sweeper and food vendor are killed senselessly.
My tank moves up in the background.
My brother's magi decide to try something new. Since these mini rock monsters are basically made of crystal, and since crystals are supposed to enhance magik, they start levitating the little buggers up onto the tower's spikes, to use as enhancement focal points for their spells.
Zach has tossed his lighter away and takes up a rifle, even as the scout's barricade disintegrates even further.
So much death...
This guy hasn't even done anything yet.
(Lol, I hadn't noticed the words on the ruler until now...)
The redcoats attempt to hurl a grenade through the bunker window, but it rebounds, and well, you see the result. By this point we were out of fire
Here's my brother's dragon at the headhunter temple, eyeing the godlike smiley...
Well, the set number of turns has passed, and my brother's Apokalypse Mech appears on the battlefield.
It finishes off the remaining scouts (even Zach)...
And smashes a chicken stall with its magma mace.
Next, it turns its evil eyes towards the rest of my force...
Right about now, my Ninja leaps up with a massive heroic feat (though I can't figure out where he is in this photo...),
and slices off the Mech's head. Unfortunately, the Mech had a deadman's switch, and the resulting explosion did ridiculous damage.
Meanwhile, my brother's dragon picks up the godlike face and hurls it at my poor mini-krawler...
Using the rock-monster focal points, my brother's magi hurl a fireball into my cannon battery, wiping out the cannons and flipping my SPA on its side.
His dragon attempted a heroic feat to throw the rest of the headhunter temple, and failed epically.
And my brother has manged to flip his tank right-side up, though it took some damage in the process. I did the same for my SPA. Around this point, we had to stop, both because of time issues, and because Mom was asking awkward questions about the scout names.
Anyway, I've since stuck to smaller-scale wars, but this was a fun engagement. I've also been trying to improve my photography, which is pretty darn bad. On the bright side, I got to use the Apokalypse Krawler in a later battle, one that was a lot more.... comprehensible, shall we say.
