So I'm trying to create some rather elaborate effects for some magical units I'm working on. But there is no rule for how many SP it costs to summon a living unit, or resurect a deceased one.
I suppose one could consider a minifig a 2 brick create matter effect, and give it a duration, but this really doesn't take into effect how much it would cost if one wanted to ressurect the unit permenantly, or if it is harder to create a living being than an inanimate object.

you could just roll on the ker-zombie table, we have at least one of those kicking around somewhere. Because the three basic elements of a minifig are legs, head, and torso, I would say that they are the equivalent of 3 bricks if you wanted to use a matter creation spell or something.
If you choose to revive a deceased unit, you may not reattach severed limbs. You may not roll on the table unless the unit you are trying to revive has at least a waist, torso, and head (missing legs, arms, and hands are ok though)
-whoever cast the spell that creates the zombie is it's master
-if the master is killed, the zombie will stay where it is and make an attack roll on any unit that comes close (except maybe other zombies)
-the only way to kill a zombie with a weapon is to roll a critical success on an attack roll (boom, headshot)
-zombies cannot use weapons of any kind
-zombies attack by biting other units, this attack does 1d6 damage
-because they are not infected with a virus, there is no danger of turning other units into zombies

- Ker-Jesus Table
1 - The dead body explodes in a shower of gore. Separate all the remaining minifig parts and scatter them around the battlefield
2 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
3 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
4 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
5 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
6 - Unit is successfully brought back to life with no ill effects.

That is much more elaborate than the effect I had in mind. Although I do like the name "Ker-Jesus Table".Almighty Benny wrote:you could just roll on the ker-zombie table, we have at least one of those kicking around somewhere. a few notes on summoned zombies (not the same as viral zombies):
- Ker-Jesus Table
1 - The dead body explodes in a shower of gore. Separate all the remaining minifig parts and scatter them around the battlefield
2 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
3 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
4 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
5 - Unit becomes a zombie for the duration of the spell
6 - Unit is successfully brought back to life with no ill effects.

oh, I seem to have just missed "rather elaborate" and instead passed into the realm of "pretty elaborate".
Being a zombie would be cool, but you would never again be able to enjoy a nice hot plate of chilli covered nachos. To me, anything that permanently prevents me from eating nachos is an ill effect. I can consume human flesh whenever I want, but nachos are reserved for the living.
