Stenigton Mk II Lancer Starfighter

Post by Cpt. Zipps » Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:32 pm

Just as with the Stormshock, Al-Kind-of looked towards a private company to produce their Starfighters. This time it was renowned spacecraft firm Stenigton who answered the call. They took the frame from the existing Eagle Fighter and added an improved engine, heavier weapons, an underslung Longlance Anti-Armour Laser and generally tweaked everything, not to mention adding shields. they drasictly changed the fighters purpose from anti-figther to anti-armour.

Name: Stenigton Mk II Lancer
Armour: Tungsten Mesh + Aircraft Grade Aluminum (+ Shield Generator)
Crew: 1
Top Speed: (Light Speed x 2.372)
Weapons:
1x Longlance Anti-Armour Laser
2x Benson Laser Cannon
2x Mk II Missile

One of the most noticable differences from the Eagle is the engine, this one is considerably more powerful, with limited warp capabilities. you can see the shield generator behind the cockpit as well.

Two Laser Cannons are carried along the all-powerful Longlance cannon.

The Stenigton Mk II Lancer carries more than enough to punch a hole in a battleship, along with defending itself in a dogfight.

A suitable nasty looking little star fighter, again - I like this as much as the LAV!

Keep up the good work, got anything else in wait for us?

It's amazing!

May I steal some ideas from it?

This looks awesomely cool and destructively functional, the best item of any of your factions I've seen yet. The engine and rear are my favourite but the whole thing is immense.

Nicely done as always. I like the way you used the boat hulls on the fuselage, and the engine is amazing. You made it look way more rugged than the average starfighter, which together with the sand camo fits its role as an anti-tank unit perfectly. Awesome work.

The engine on the back of that thing is fairly creative, actually.

Unfortunately really easy to replicate. I might steal that design.

Be forewarned.

Everyone keeps commenting on the engine, I think I stole it from a Space Police set actually.

It's true. The jews invented the law.
