Some new SORD models, all equally incompetent! Hopefully I can start making some instructions in the future.
Armored sled:

"What the hell, are we attacking Santa Claus?" - Military contractor to SORD salesman.
Scout bike:

Pretty much just a civilian superbike with light armor and a HUD, new riders are often disoriented with the overhead system and crashes are frequent. Luckily, health insurance and spare parts are cheap.
Armored car "Clunker":

A leftover relic from the zombie wars, the armored car is no match for most modern armored vehicles. That said, it's well loved for being reliable and easy to fix, and the name Clunker is often painted on the back as a sign of pride. SORD engineers are beginning to retrofit Clunkers with newer weaponry, after a number of reliability failures on so called superior Mechs.
Superheavy Hardsuit

The superheavy hardsuit was designed to provide the firepower of a mech on a hardsuit. Though that goal was achieved, the lack of space for cooling coils meant that weaponry had to cool down for far too long between shots. A few heavily modified units were sold to special forces groups.
UMU Blockhead

The unmanned mobile unit "Blockhead" was designed to crash through walls and doors while taking the brunt of the initial fire, providing protection for the troops behind it. Usage of the Blockhead was infrequent, however, as the squads rarely had an AI repairman with them.
Amphibious Hardsuit "Big Boy"

Designed to be used mostly in the water, the Big Boy was designed as a tug and general workhorse for submarines and naval ships. The Big Boy is unique in that it was designed to work with scuba gear, allowing users to leave and enter the suit freely underwater. It's often mocked by some, as the walking stance of the Big Boy looks somewhat like that of a big baby.
Quadpedal Mech "Turtle"

Based on a civilian model, SORD engineers removed the original glass cockpit and added armored to the entire body. This particular model was designed as a fire fighting mech on capital landships or naval ships. Unfortunately, for some reason the engineers left the pilot's head in the open, exposing him to smoke and flames. Luckily, most pilots replace the helmet immediately with one that has a full protective visor.
Flamethrower Mech "Chunky Monkey"

"Which retard decided to put the gas tanks next to the pilot's head?" - SORD head engineer.

Gots to, cuz I ain't got that many bricks. If I ever get any zombies though...that's when I might think to mass produce. Always wanted to do a zombie vs SORD army diorama.Bragallot wrote:All very great, coupled with an interesting write-up. But you can't seriously mean you have to take these babies apart for parts every time you build another one?
mm brains. The model currently sitting on my desk is the Clunker, so here is the exploded view before I take it apart. Feel free to remake/mod it whatever, as I think my engineering was pretty poor. Plus it'd be cool to see some variants, with all the fancy bricks you guys have. I'll post some more 'plosions in the future if I think they're easy enough to follow.Warhead wrote:Each model is fabulous, there is so much potential here for beautiful mayhem in a Brikwars battle. I will study the pictures but it would be far simpler to just eat your brain to assimilate your skills.

As for the bike design, you realize the driver doesn't have to be SITTING in the bike?

Well maybe that's how he wanted it, don't call him out as if he's wrong just because you don't like it. Plus, an actual bike pose is harder to make in Lego.Keldoclock wrote:As for the bike design, you realize the driver doesn't have to be SITTING in the bike?

All of these are ridiculously awesome, the armoured sled is especially epic.
I think my favourite part about the suits is that they can all fit a minifig. However, in the future could you possibly include a shot of the cockpit closed as well as open? It would just be good to know what the overall look of the suit is, as well as how the minifig fits in.

It's funny how he lost his status as n00b halfway through his first post.

You know, I think more of us need to create factions with a hook such as SORD. they're better and much more intersting than just a plain PMC or a generic group of rag-tag survivors/rebels. Forces with hooks like manliness, or Rastafarianism or in this case horrible military incompetency make the brikwars universe a substantially better place.

Thanks, the bike pose was a compromise, since I haven't figured out how to make a traditional pose yet. Anyhow, I currently have writer's/builder's block. If anyone wants to build/mod some of these, I can explode a few. I don't have that many lego (and honestly don't plan to get any more), so I'm always interested in seeing where people with bigger collections can go with some of these.aoffan23 wrote:Well maybe that's how he wanted it, don't call him out as if he's wrong just because you don't like it. Just take pictures from every angle, then it becomes easily reverse engineer-able to thoose who handle lego parts often enough to know which ones are which. Except for maybe the core of it, so maybe a pic with some of the armour-y parts off as well.Ingraman wrote:Thanks, out of all the designs the bike is the one I'm least able to make instructions for. It looks straightforward enough, but it is a lego engineer's nightmare and is literally being held together by voodoo spirits.
