Wow... I was not expecting so many people to respond so fast ._. which is awesome. I know I DID say there is no real limit to players, but for the first forum run of the game, and due to limited dungeon room space, there is only really room for six players, MAX. I am terribly sorry to those who found this thread later than others, and I apologize for not listing a maximum number of players in my initial post. However, I hope to include anyone who wants to play in future runs if this goes well.
Now lads, down to business.
Players are:
Sloopofwar
OREMAWESOME1234
Ogel96
Olothontor
SnakeMittens
naussica
Make yourselves familiar with the BrickQuest rule PFD file which can be found on the site. Note: my modular dungeon rooms aren't neatly checkered, or nearly as grandiose as his, but they are all of the grayscale and have a nice dungeoney feel about them.
Now if you'll kindly turn to the Character Classes, Abilities, and Skills page. Since we are playing with a comical crew of characters of various types (i.e. pirates, ninjas, businessmen, space men, so on) the obvious archetypes (Fighter, Rouge, Wizard, Priest) need not apply. We're all reasonable here, so I am asking each player to create a custom character sheet for themselves.
Example:
Name: Spaceman Joe
Class: Spaceman
Move: 4
AD: 3
DD: 3
(Ignore the "Init" stat. We won't be needing it.)
SP: --
HP: 10
Special Abilities: Close Combat Specialist (+3 to attack roll)
Skills: +1 Jump +1 Force Door/Object +1 Tumble +1 Operate Mechanism
you get the idea. I have faith none of you guys will make your character super powerful. Now let's speak of minifigs. I'm sorry, but no, I can not make Mr. Mental, and NO I can not make a ninja lizard spaceman X|
I CAN make any basic/generic minifig types. Just some ideas include Spaceman, Pirate, Ninja, Businessman, Soldier, Steampunk Guy, Knight, Wizard, Jedi, Stormtrooper, Policeman, Prisoner, Adventurer, and so on, you get the idea. just be reasonable, and I can make it happen.
That said, I can't wait to check out some of your guys' character sheets. It's going to be a good game.

Thanks. I know my way round an RPG, so I'll try to help keep things on track. We doing this actual style with backgrounds and all, or just quick an sloppy?

I'm aiming for a traditional dungeon theme, very similar to the BrikQuest original. It's going to be fun and goofy with all sorts of characters playing, and I'm glad to have an RPG veteran on squad too.Ogel96 wrote:We doing this actual style with backgrounds and all, or just quick an sloppy?
Sorry, for the limited space. If this small test run goes well, there will be plenty more runs in the future for you to join in.Rocket_Saint wrote:Drat, I'm always offline when these things are posted.
I'll watch from afar I suppose.

Well I've played in three versions of dnd, played four other RPGs, larped multiple times, have dm'd for two years, once for 15 people(on a regular basis) dm'd a larp game, and more. So yup, I think I count.
Also, what I meant was do we need to flesh out our characters?
