Brikwars: Animated - Turn 2

Post by ForlornCreature » Sun Oct 10, 2010 4:27 am

Top Thread

WATCH HERE

I'll try to get these turns out a little faster now, I'm now on a time limit of about 10 weeks, someone else will need the spare room I have all my LEGO in.
Anyway, Stormies lost a couple, bringing their numbers down to 4, aliens lost 2 more men and most of them are disrupted too, but otherwise this turn wasn't much for killing, the only kills being from explosions.
Pirates led by Darthbrik strayed onto the field, they mostly have swords and pistols.

NOW ACCEPTING ORDERS FOR TURN 3

Better overview pics:

Image
The Mercs move up, two disembark to get the blue bike.
Image
Two aliens splattered, two disrupted.
Image
Image
The Pirates stray onto the field, wondering what all these people are doing battling near their land.
Anyone know any other music that might fit? Preferably royalty-free?
Or does anyone know another track on this website that works?

Newgrounds Audio Portal.

All music is 100% free to download, and can be used simply by giving credit to the author in the information box thingy.

@ForlornCreature: This is fantastic - congrats! My only anal-retentive problem was when the people got out of the car, the animation got pretty choppy. On the other hand, you're not Nathan Wells or Keshen8, so good first big project.

Also, you may want to check out this tutorial.

Yoda_Dog, thanks but I already know how to do walk cycles, also that walk cycle is waaaay too fast, with too few frames. I take shortcuts when I make these Brikwars animations because of the sheer amount of minifigs I have to animate in a very short period of time. If I were to take my time, it would take a LOT longer, although the animation might look a little better. I've been doing this for nearly two years, although I may not have done many videos, I've done a crapload of tests. NathanWells isn't really the greatest animator, or Keshen8, look at people like xxxfancypantsxxx or Spasticchuwawa or ZachMG or mobdeli (who's first major project is nearly finished).

Aoffan23 and Apollyon still need to send in orders, at the moment it looks like most are going into the defensive, so if no orders are sent your teams will be told to rush the enemy.

Uh, how lame of me not to send in orders. Sorry about that. I am all for rushing the enemy with the remaining troops.

Shit, I could have sworn I sent in orders.

Anyways, should I send them, or is it too late?

I'll send 'em anyway.

It's k, your orders were pretty much the same as what has or was going to happen.

I recently watched a film called MOON, and feel like making a moon base for my next battle. great film, and the base itself was awesome.
