Okay, with pics this time:

Image

(Picture quality varies) My current spearhead force, with:
TOP: Troopers (guy with gray belt on right is medic)
MIDDLE: Pilot, Elite Trooper, Officers, Elite Trooper, Sniper
BOTTOM: Heroes (can be degraded to officers)

Image

My ultimate commander, the Tyrant of Carnage, General of Death, King of Stars, and Ruler of the Pit (Note that this minifig was created before I knew of the existance of Warhead, and is tuns in no way related to him.)

Image

The Mark 1 Autonomous Light Combat Vehicle (ALCV)

Image

Image

Image

My massive baseplate I use for all my battles

Image

I do not have a mage: I have an alien that uses a technology so advanced that it is indistinguishable from magic (Arthur C. Clarke's Third Law)

Image

Some of my otehr figs, formed into a militia squad

Image

The Carnage Bots, used for combat in enviroments that would be lethal to biological troops, and for added fire support

Image

And my special creation, the Slaughterbot, with a background of one of the greatest video games of all time, placed there for the sole purpose of making you jealous.

Stats for units will be forthcomming.

Right... another army based on clone troopers. Listen, dude I believe they get the job done but you will never feel the fun and joy of building an original army with these, get my point?

The name adds humor in my group, and if I can get enough troops of another group I'll see what I can do for custom colors. I'm just a massive STAR WARS addict, so I had a bunch of these.

Also: while hodgepodge works for my MOCs, I have established Black, Deep Blue, and Gold as my empire's colors. Plus the Whitie Troopers.

So you're a clone-tard... do you have any other figs besides the troopers and your militia? And hodgepodgeian stuff is great to fill your army while you build the themed stuff

BFenix, chill a little. The guy is new here and is trying to build his first army from what he has.

I wager a lot of us started with Starwars stuff. I know I did. Give him a little time to Bricklink and ebay so he can build up to the custom armies that we all know and love.

Okay... time for Clone Army 101.

First off, scrap the helmets. The torsos actually work great for just about any army you can imagine, but the helmets automatically deem them to clonetards.

Give them some faces (even if you have to resort to peach) and hair and they will look thirty time more unique. Give them hats, and they look awesome.

Second off, swap out their arms. Find a bunch of guys with red/blue/grey torsos and pluck the arms right off of them to use on your troops! Different colored arms can be used to make your guys unique, and can be color coded for your convenience as well.

Third, and most important, you have to have cool weapons. When your army is this small, you can afford to make a handful of badass brickbuilt weapons for your men. This will instantly make them more awesome. If you do nothing else, do this.

An example:

Image

See? These guys are basically clones; however, to the casual viewer, they are different enough to be their own, unique army. (The tank helps to, of course.)

Clones can make a fine army, heck, when you have so many of them, why not use them? With a little work, however, you can have your guys looking badass in no time at all.

Oh, and try to take better pictures. We have a Thread about how to take better pictures, please use it!

Order a bunch of these:

Any colour is fine. Then get some of these visors:

Again, choose any colour. If you outfit your guys with these then they won't look like SW clones or stormies.

If you want that extra classic-space feel, get some of these too:

But if you want something more armour-looking, maybe try one of these:

Again colours are up to you, but whatever you choose try to coordinate them.

Two of my armies have Stormtrooper torsos; one has regular Stormtroopers and the Scout Trooper torsos, the other has the black Trooper torsos. Uniformity is nice, but originality is just as nice.

As everyone else said, change the headgear. What makes a Stormtrooper/Clone is the helmet. Scrap it. I suggest buying sets that have helmets and legs that you can switch out. My main troopers use pieces from only two minifigs (except for the heads).

The thing is, each of the lightsabe4r hilts is one pistol, so that comes out to 2" of wapondry.

Never, EVER, let the rules tell you what you can and can not build.

You instead turn around and tell the rules what they can or can not regulate. It's only the spirit of the rules that you have to pay attention to. Fortunately, the spirit of the rules is a big fan of murder and destruction, so giving a slaughter bot extra weaponry is probably in line with that.

If you feel bad though, just make the bot cost more, and say that since it's a robot it has super-human strength so it can hold extra guns. Take a look:

Point taken, had my eye on a rifle-size gun that I could fit on there.

And now to the statistics:
Whitie Troopers:

Cost: 6cp
Skill: 1d6+1
Move: 5"
Armor: 5

Intense Training (1cp)
Whitie Troopers are trained beyond the level of of normal troopers. They have a skill of 1d6+1

Lightmanium Armor (1cp)
A lightweight titanium composite gives the Whitie Troopers an armor rating of 5.
