For horse barding, I recommend Rev. Sylvanus' recipe, found here: http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... g&start=15
Always good to see a new fantasy army! I think it's awesome that you have the skill to custom-paint your stuff. If I did that whole "seal of approval" thing, you'd probably have it.

Yes it was the High Elf amybook illustrations I had in mind when I painted her eyes. And I knew somebody was going to comment on the chap with glassesKiller Karetsu wrote:I like elves who have creepy eyes...kinda because of the high elf armybook.
Yeah, good painting!
I've got some blank yellow heads on order which is just as well because I'm running out of heads with expressions and features I don't want which is what I've been using up until now.
I'm going to check out the Rev's barding method because it's so nicely done and I'd like to give it a try. I don't need all that many barded horses, but it would be nice to set them up properly.

Blue is possible. I did some further work last night simplifying the design and making it more Lego-like.enders_shadow wrote:I like the design, but your high elves are supposed to be blue, so I'm not convinced it'll match...

This is just the back of the leather part of the armour which is as far as I got, but I could easily do it in green or blue as well.

In between doing other things this afternoon I setup a battlefield so I could try out my Elves as well as the Brikwars rules.
The Elves: The allied Elf army of the Forest King.

My she-Elf Swordmaster captain found herself being suddenly dressed in my spare green witch's clothing and turned into a red head so she could be an Elf mage for a day. I'm still waiting on some parts to arrive as well as some decal paper and then I'll make a proper Mage for my Elf Army.
I'm really going to have to do something about that bearded guy with glasses (sigh).

The UnDead: Bony Bill's Horde.
I'm keeping it pretty simple with the opponents for my first battle. This army might look like it will be a push over, but the witch who is playing necromancer for a day can raise more dead troops if she needs to. And she has the promise of Orc reinforcments should she need them. The Mega Bloks skeletons are being played as zombies in case you're wondering and Bony Bill (the late Sir William the Doubtful) is in the red cloak and blue armour.
