Looks cool so far. How high do you plan on building the wall?

Awesome pillbox. I see you put in lots of pretty flowers that will surely get trampled and/or burnt.

This is a great start and similar to what I had hoped to do myself but much better. Death in the flower gardens, great stuff Natalya. :D

A lovely spot of Lego gardening to be sure, but that wall is going to be quite something when it's complete.

I don't have an exact estimate for the wall's height, but for the width I was planning on having it be 8 bricks wide, but now I'm considering making it 10 bricks wide. The big black things you see in picture 1 are the doors. The road is 16 bricks wide and the doors open to a width of 12 bricks so it is not big enough to fit the Vanquisher which is a whopping 20 bricks wide -- if you ignore the side sponsons which make it more like 24...

Expect the wall to be somewhere between 12 and 20 bricks high. That's pretty vague but it will be at least 12 high.

Kool, so your Vanquisher can't hide behind it! :csi: Can't wait to see the end result...

This is what I'm going for but it probably won't be as tall. Here are some other inspirational pictures for the wall:

Umm the Vanquisher will probably be behind the wall for the Head Separator battles. The wall is like the first thing the Akkadians and IE will encounter when they assault the city.

If possible, you should design some breakaway parts for realistic battle damage....

Yup, also if I had FICO to do over I'd also make it modular for ease of disassembly for when you have to move the damn thing. This will take some time I think.

Some pretty nice stuff here, I'm impressed.

Goldman is an awesome builder -- for those who don't know that giant wall is actually one of the less impressive things he's done. He doesn't post much stuff anymore, as far as I know.

I don't think I would have noticed that had you not pointed it out. I was too distracted by the rest of the picture. :D

I think I'm going to have my wall be 3 grey baseplates long, not two like you see here. I put technic pin things on the sides so it can be modular so I'll add a third section probably once I make the first two that you see now. That will make the whole thing more interesting. I need to get more road baseplates to build the city behind the wall though. What's a wall good for if there's nothing for it to protect?

Oh and Goldman's most recent thing was posted here a month or two ago -- Zero Hour on Highway 44 in the Bricks section. He did the diorama, other builders supplied the vehicles and stuff.
