The aerial skiff will have a magical gem weapon eventually, but the High Priest himself has a magical staff. It is a bit of a showboat in someways, but it does give the High Priest faster transport than running around on his bare feet.

I've just ordered one of those crystal skull things with the blue brain and I'm going to use that as the weapon on the High Priest's aerial skiff. I must track down some of those electro-zap accessory pieces too.

I painted all the hydralic rams on Dinosaur Hunter's new legs last night using a mucky looking silver colour which improved things. Adding in a few mud splashes and such would be a really good idea.
I'm going to spray the purple and yellow bits with grey primer later today and I'll dry brush them with rusty muck tonight.
On the to-do list is making Dinosaur Hunter's cabin about two studs wider once I get the bits to do it.

Alright back to the Elves on this thread; - Steampunk, lost valleys & etc is on the other thread now.

I was able to find some ponytail hair pieces in the same colour as the Elf hair pieces so I thought I'd give them a try just to vary things a little with my Elves. No Elf ears of course, but my excuse is that they are under their hair out of sight.
I also purchased one or two peach skin tone heads to try out with my Elves to see how they looked. I'm still trying to make up my mind about these. And yes that handpainted Elf head I did is still around, because I decided it can stay and the Elf whose got it is now the leader of the High Elf archers.

well, obviously swap out those yellow hands on the wood elf, but they look pretty good! I like the hair, even if the bangs are a little off, and both peach head selections are good. another thing you might want to try is if you have access to the series four minifigs, the wolf-man has the same type hair, but in brown and black (dark elf anyone?) just a thought...

Yellow hands swapped out for brown (leather gloves) :)

I'm working on making a few more Treemen too, - this is a really simple conversion to do and I really like them.
I'm using yellow arms because I always seem to have them spare and I reckon colours like green, yellow and brown are fine for Treemen. Having different coloured arms on the same Treeman is fine too.

:<3: the treeman, much better arm connection than the last one, but I'd suggest goin w/ brown arms (just personal preference) can't wait to see an army of these guys!

I'm still trying to figure out how to best attach the arms on the pine tree Treeman as it's not as straight forward as for the tree I've just done. I've just purchased a whole bunch of down on their luck minifigs secondhand and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get some spare brown and green arms from them.
With the High Elves it's blue and grey arms that I need now that I've completed the Wood Elf army (more or less), so I can use any left over brown and green arms on the Treemen.

I found a how to make a Trogdor from this Lego webpage.....

http://www.suave.net/~dave/trogdor.cgi

I've been wanting a dragon for my Elves, but I didn't want to use a Mega Blok dragon even though I've got four of them. Trogdor would fit better with the whole Brikwars scheme of things.

I have one too! I can certainly recommend them. When I was designing some Elves (I think I threw those plans away for the most part though) I also thought of using the ponytail hair, it works for me.

hmmm... I think I like Brag's mouth design better, it looks good and has room for fangs. Can't wait to see what you do with your design plans, White Nun!

Yay for Bricklink orders! I wanted a few human men at arms for my Elf army so I could do the 'Alliance of Men and Elves' thing if I wanted to. I'd also been waiting for my army's wizard to arrived as well and today he finally got here :D

Image

I got a Series 1 Forester as well to go with the Humans, but he was hiding when I had the camera out. I have to figure out a suitable design to go on those Brickforge shields too when I get a moment.

I'm a bad Legoist because I buy Cogo sets too because they're being sold all over the place a huge discounts at the moment. Anyway I like the Cogo horses because they look better as Elven steeds than the standard Lego horse does.
