Stud Wars
Does anybody know anything about this? Found this French guy on Flickrthat has a bunch of pretty kickass microMOCs up on his stream, and they're all linked to this thing he calls Stud Wars. Apparently it's some homebrewed microwargame.
A couple of varied Google searches revealed nothing useful (and also turned up more than a few homoerotic pr0n websites).

On a similar note, Microfig Death's link on the Brikwars site is down. THERE ARE NO MICROSCALE BRIK WARGAMES IN ENGLISH.Ybliss wrote:@JamesOfJames : StudWars Rules are not yet published. I'm writing them .... but in French, sorry
I'm not able to translate them in English (some friends maybe, so don't desperate !)

Personally I find that micro is the only way to go for space, the SHIP war/arms race was impressive but they are rather impractical and setting out the space is a challenge.
I've made several microscale MOCs though about making a war system for them but didn't get round to it. *looks on shelf*, Hell I have a small army staring at me.

They are quite nice, nice enough to have inspired walkers of my own... I don't have the parts, but I've sketched out some blueprints for a squad of them, complete with comms, demolitions, heavy weapons, and munitions/supply walkers to make a full, tactically advanced combat unit.White Nun wrote:Those are really nice micromodels. Wonderfully proportioned and thought out
Some Bricklink orders are necessary to make it happen, and I'll need to work out a color scheme (maybe light blue with dark red stripes and light bley "other" parts. Not married to that idea just yet, though, since I feel like it would work better on a microscale fleet than it would here).
