Coolness is the classic smiley face with the stud top.
I don't particularly have the cash to make a cohesive army so I've delved into having individual units look cool. In one of my first battles I sent out 2 janitors, a firefighter, a viking, Mr. Freeze and my Hero against an incredibly cohesive King led army of medieval knights. I really embrace the whole fact that all the LEGO themes can mix together and be on equal footing in the BrikWars universe.
I think one of the most fun battles I was in was when my friend sent an army at me consisting of a 2 one armed knights, a bird headed man, a knights with two left feet and some other ridiculous things all led by a one footed Jar-Jar Binks Hero.

As an artist, I try to keep my army as cool as I can. Sadly, I have to borrow a lot of bricks from Captain Nomouth to achieve this. Top hats are awesome. Plus, I never us a generic smiley face. They suck, and I always thought so when I was a little kid. What's so cool about a mounted Knight of the King's Army with awesome armor when he has this dumb look on his face? Nope, I was overjoyed when they started making angry eyes and facial hair. Awesomeness.....
And what's cooler than a bunch of old guys wearing $900 suits and wielding revolvers and walking sticks? Nothing I say. My army is bomb. Good show.

BLASPHEMY! Unadulterated blasphemy, my good sir. The classic smile IS the Lego man's face. I saved up money to make an army of soldiers using only the smiley face. When a man is holding a flamethrower with a side-mounted chainsaw after ejecting from a veritech style variable fighter and he looks at you with a perfectly happy smile, there is nothing more disturbing in this world. Capes help though. Everyone important has a cape. And a black visor. And an evil pet cult. And everyone only wears black. Those are the rules of my fascist little junta.

Cool, me too! It took so long to find, but it was worth it* . Anything robotech definitely has cool fatcor. Capes help though. And classic smiles.
*I stayed up till 4:00 AM yesterday to finish the model, and it works perfectly. My friend is gonna be in for a shock when the fighter he was about to shoot down with an AA battery becomes a mech and starts walking all over his troops
**
**When I can get my camera working, I'll post pics of this along with the rest of my army. My version is slightly changed from the original but still works nicely.
EDIT: FYI, the instructions are easy to follow for the most part, but sometimes it wants you to make two of something, but onlyy has the instructions once. Oh yeah, and for the last 30 steps or so you might want a magnifying glass. The pictures are so small for some reason it's hard to tell what you're looking at.

Nice find, ace. Robotech is awesome. I just might build one of those...
Here's another great B-shelf instructions find: The Spiffcraft from Calvin & Hobbes.

I really recommend building it, it is just SO CUTE. It's also great in a Brkwar, I made a stat card for it.
Speaking of coolness factor, this is my sigfig, in his ceremonial dress cape (For intimidation) epicly exiting a helicopter, in slow motion, the flurries of wind from the spinning blades whipping around, his cape flying and fluttering.

I've had him for years, I originally designed him when I was 6 or 7 (only his torso has changed since then) and he was the boss of one of my first bases, and he's been the boss of every base since the beginning of time... him and his pet kitty! Kitty owns. He has his own personal starship. And he is trained in the art of Kung Fu. And he has built in mini-toast feature! Yay!

I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

Thanks Benny.Almighty Benny wrote:that is one hell of an awesome minifig, Dr. X.
He looks like he's going to shove the first person he sees carrying a stack of papers.
And yeah, that head with that ninja-hat is an awesome combo, because it just shows the eyes which makes it awesome. Not to mention the torso, legs, and cape are all my favorite type.
