
My ancestors were the O'Callaghan family of Cork county in Ireland. I would give you a link to a page with info, but I couldn't find any decent ones.

They were cattle raiders, that is, people who rode in, took your stuff, and rode out real fast.

Looting the bodies. After all, what medieval raider could resist 2 fully armored soldiers... with swords! (In case you didn't know, swords were an expensive luxury)

Here's a better shot of his horse and my customized broadsword. The sticker around the blade actually helps keep the chrome from chipping off. Pretty handy.

The Celts also had an instrument called a bodrane (pronounced bow-rane), which was a kind of drum.

Now I know this guy isn't entirely historically accurate, but you'll surely live.
