Everything that Elmagnifico said is very important. One day we might event tell you the the tale of Assterios the booty bothered one.

My most important tip for you seeing you come from a WH:40K background is to not be afraid to put some humorous troops in your army, make it fun, mix it up and be ready to have some hilarious fluff back stories about your faction to tell your friends. Don't focus on "whether or not your army has a good balance between infantry and artillery" just try to make it as awesome and funny as possible and focus on how much mayhem and hilarity your army will bring to the table.

I can't believe nobody's posted a link to Olothontor's thread about Undying Tek yet, he had some fine, fine nekrony forces:

Wow, it was one of the first hundred threads on the board! I guess maybe that's why I'm the only one who remembers it.

Also, consider benkim's Tau (and I guess also his necrons) at http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... 167#p60167

Bragallot wrote:Really? I thought we just did it for fun, except in official stuff like the manual where it kinda matters. You'd have to be a maniac to sue someone over the internet for using the word 'lightsabre' in a forum post. If you're serious, you couldn't even build something that resembles a dreadnought too much.
Lightsaber is a special case because Lucas is a little bit crazy about lawsuits compared to every other company in the universe besides maybe Nintendo.
