Rade approaches the bar counter, and nods politely as a greeting.
"I don't know enough spanish to speak it well, so I'm not going to butcher your language. I came here to Cuba to escort a trader to port. We were attacked by some mysterious raiders as we passed by what was supposed to be an uninhabited stretch of shoreline on the way to this town here. They blasted the boat to shit with artillery from the before times, and in the confusion, I lost my rifle. Therein lies the problem-I'm not going after them without some sort of long range capabilities. If you can tell me anything about those people, I'll keep it in mind. Now all that aside, I was wondering if there was any kind of work...say, any sort of raiders been causing problems, that sort of thing. I need to resupply, and I don't have anything to barter with."

[Keldoclock]

The barkeep looks Rade up and down, casting glances at the massive scar on his left arm, and the revolver at his belt.

"I think you 'ave plenty to barter with, gringo. Tell you what, go with this kid to Geraldo, he's probably out on the walls right now. Walk till you reach the town center and hang a left, he'll be the guy with the red scarf on his arm," the barkeep says, glancing back at Sam, " He's sure to have some work for you, especially if you mention those guys you were talking about. I don't think I'll be able to stop this little guy from walking off into something dangerous, so keep an eye on him, will you?"


Lucas: You observe this whole exchange from your barstool. The rum here is pretty damn good, and the guy who paid for it was too drunk to notice his cup turning a little emptier.

Adder: You find merchants and rotgut. What are you after, in particular?

This is a good time as any for glory. Adder quickly walks up to the bartender and Rade and inquires. "Hola Señores, mi llamo Adder y did you say something about a raider problem?"

"Given MY line of work, I need to be well equipped. But thanks for pointing me to the right guy, I appreciate it. The boy looks like he can take care of himself, but I'd be glad to let him come with me. Boy, what say you?"

In the rules I found no chapter about languages. How many languages can we speak? Do I understand what Rade says? It can be interesting to include this challenge into roleplay and it would totally fit the setting if the Cowboy has trouble to talk with the locals. But it will slow down the speed of the game even further.

Sam takes a long look at Rade before he says: "Hi Cowboy. What did your ship look like? There are rumors about a new wreckage not too far from here with a hole in the prow. Maybe I could find it for you. But first let's visit this Geraldo guy." With a rather cocky voice he adds: "You can carry that. Careful, it's heavy," and points to the minigun. Then he turns to the barkeeper: "Thank you, Seniore. I'll be back later." I grab my other stuff and turn to the door.
