Sure, but aside from CP there's no reason not to just put them in a tank or heavily armored aircraft. There's no real reason for armor and speed to be at odds with each other, again, aside from cost, which I'm pretty sure most people ignore. I think it would add an interesting dynamic if we had some simple way to force people to choose between speed and armor, perhaps by adding an inverse relationship between armor and speed? Each movement inch past some limit determined by armor costs double, and past another limit costs quadruple? That should really force people to consider the value of their CP's (or in the very least make LOL UBERUNIT a little less prevalent).IVhorseman wrote:Load em full of scouts and they are.

There's something vaguely along those lines being cooked up for the new way armor works. Vehicles that ignore a die of armor would indeed have some kind of penalty to movement, but IDK what.
Personally, I just give my heavily armored vehicles slower movement speeds. I don't use CP, but I compare vehicles against the example speeds of other things and find what niche my vehicle occupies.

You know Stubby you really are keeping promises like a president with your "2010" rule book. Of course you didn't really make any promises but you get my point.

wait, squads are changing? I was imagining they'd stay the same as 2005's squads, i don't see any large reason for that to change. Squads already work pretty intuitively.

Ehhhhh I kind of dislike them, too much chapter for not enough meat. I'm aiming to remove all that stuff about formations and give the Officers some other advantage instead.
In other news, with all the news about the apocalypse in 2012 etc I wonder if I should rename the final version of this edition to "BrikWars 2012: BrikPocalyspe Edition" and release it in 2014.

I admit the forming action was stupid, but the squad rules don't differ all that much from the core rules anyways. What else would an officer do?
Maybe comissars could execute a minifig to give that squad a bennie?
