Also, if Blitzen doesn't enter, I may vote for her anyways just to spite J+B.

I decided James would make the better boyfriend, if we're talking about physically constructing one. sure, blitzen could build a robo-boyfriend with all kinds of... caring and "sensetivity" that girls love, and it'd be basically the nicest guy you'd ever meet in your life.
James would build a square, metal box that fired missiles and had Brad Pitt's face emblazoned on the front. i think we know who the winner is.

I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

I have no base plates, due to the fact my younger brother took a knife to them as a child, i use a 5x5 foot whiteboard and marker pens and build any extra structures and scenery and dot it about on that.
So basically I'm less held back by size, and with the whiteboard I can host anything from wide open plains, to cities, ruined cities and even INDOOR scenarios, but alas, no base plates

You have NO baseplates? Well then, you need to get some. It's a simple as that, you can't be a serious Lego AFOL or CFOL without BASEPLATES.The Shadowscythe wrote:I have no base plates, due to the fact my younger brother took a knife to them as a child, i use a 5x5 foot whiteboard and marker pens and build any extra structures and scenery and dot it about on that.

how do you decide what provides cover or not with whiteboard stuff? The Shadowscythe wrote:I have no base plates, due to the fact my younger brother took a knife to them as a child, i use a 5x5 foot whiteboard and marker pens and build any extra structures and scenery and dot it about on that.

Not much sympathy for the little guy eh X? A CFOL should be given a little slack budget wise. Not every kid gets allowances or whines like a baby to get stuff. The most expensive sets are the one's with baseplates, and kids aren't liable to get too many of those these days. Get over yourself. I say let the kid enter. Maybe he's a whiz with whiteboard.Dr. X wrote:You have NO baseplates? Well then, you need to get some. Heh, one idea i did have was to use the whiteboard to mark out the inside of a industrial complex or factory type environment, and then build a multi-level combat zone within it. (meerly using the whiteboard to mark out areas where mini figs can't go, so if i drew a square, and then shaded it - that would represent a tower that ran all the way to the top of the complex) Also, i have plenty of smaller plates from older lego sets that work well to make small huts and houses, but nothing to base plate scale. It's just a case of working with what you have at hand really.Adean wrote:Not much sympathy for the little guy eh X? A CFOL should be given a little slack budget wise. Also, Little guy? kid? I'm 21! XD Hell, I'm probably older than 3/4 of the forum other than the other 30's crowd!
Yeah, sorry, I tend to call everyone kid, even people who are older than me. Also, I was wanting X to let everyone enter, even the people without plates. I feel that it's unfair to those that don't have any. I know that if I didn't have any base plates, I wouldn't be able to just go out and get a bunch just to enter the contest. The Shadowscythe wrote: Heh, one idea i did have was to use the whiteboard to mark out the inside of a industrial complex or factory type environment, and then build a multi-level combat zone within it. And then this is a contest to see who can make the best battlefield. What if I had a big table decked out with flock, miniature grass and trees with a resin river? It would look amazing, just not Lego. Purists should learn to expand their boundaries.
