I think I might actually be willing to donate funds for a plane ticket for Warhead.

Re: Project Silver Bullet
Just to rub it in further, I have one last update on this topic:

This was the last thing I built for the battle before it got aborted. Yes, it looks suspiciously similar to Natalya's, but really, it's just a wall. I had big plans for a fancy HQ building behind it as well as a small adjacent town, but I guess they're never going to happen.
*sigh*

Have you cried because of her decision? If not, then you're right. That's the best litmus test I can think of.Colette wrote:6. Too young. Rebutted because I turned 13
I think your swiftness with your LDD forum battles has been pretty impressive, all joking aside. You have a tendancy to roll lots of dice in these battles however, and that's what's especially time-consuming. Using more "regular" units and only a few super sweet mega-units could be a nice way to cut down on that.
Has she been objecting to the amount of table/floorspace this would take up? Forum battles can take a really really long time - months even.
Brikwars is violent as hell - but I'm positive there's another source of violence like TV or Video Games (don't blame me for not knowing if both of these are banned already) that she's totally cool with you doing that's equally violent. This may not necessarily be true, but your ultimate rebuttal to the violence would be to explain how little of the violence is of importance to what's actually going on: tactics, physics, and probability calculation. You and I both know that that's bullshit, but it might be the

Re: Project Silver Bullet
To get around the violence, call it a simulation. For example, the armies in your battles are really actors and larpers. When they get shot, it's by either pellets or light. When they bleed, it's fake blood etc.
Also, tell her that most people who play brikwars go to Harvard. It's the most overrated school, but she'll still be impressed.

This sig is too fucking large: show anyway
Re: Project Silver Bullet
If you're going to go that route, just read her the section from the introduction about how they're not people, they're toys that love to get taken apart and put back together again.Silverdream wrote:To get around the violence, call it a simulation. Re: Project Silver Bullet
Can't you just tell her you're building stuff or playing with Legos? Or have you already said that you were going to host a forum battle over to a bunch of people on the internet?

There should be a forum battle about the various denizens of the brikwars forums vs. MotherNuker.

Brickwars: the only tabletop wargame that allows the units to have sexual intercourse with each other, produce offspring, and then use said offspring as Size 1 Explosives.
