Gludavian Shock Troops

The Gludavian Raiders are an enigmatic group. Not much is known about them... What is known for sure is that they are genetically engineered super warriors with bionic implants to give them super-human strength. They often appear out of nowhere, swooping down to the battlefield from the sky with their jet packs, guns blazing, and swords ready to hack apart entire squads of minifigs in seconds. Their bloodlust appears to be unequaled, and they wear the skulls of their enemies on their weapons or armour, to strike terror into the hearts of opposing minifigs. They disappear as quickly as they come, flying off into the night, rarely with any casualties.

This one is the leader. He carries a beam sword, a Brickonium Gun, a small laser attached to his jet pack, and an auto cannon. He costs 53 points. I'll go over their war gear and specialties later.

This guy has a chain sword and a laser rifle. On his back is a heavy auto cannon. He causes 51 points. They are able to move with all these weapons thanks to the thrust provided by their jet packs.

The last of the three, this one carries a beam sword and an auto gun and has a Gauss cannon strapped to his back. He costs 53 points.

These guys have a lot of special stuff... First off is their MKIII Mimetic Armour. It provides 3 extra armour at the cost of 3 CP, but does not affect their movement because it's not as heavy as normal armour. (Which is why it's twice the cost.)

Then they have the special ability: Scary
These guys have skulls and chains, and swoop out of the air on loud jet packs. Their appearance alone is usually enough to get the enemy to piss their plastic pants. This is represented by them causing a -1 Skill penalty to all enemy units within 10" except for heroes and special characters. This costs 3 CP.

Next is their MKII Jet Packs. These allow them to move a total of 10" in one turn. Ordinarily a MKII Jet Pack according to my rules would allow a total of 15" but these guys have too many heavy weapons which slow them down. The jet packs cost 6 points each.

Finally is their bionic implants, which allow them to wield two-handed weapons as single-handed weapons, at the cost of 4 CP.

Also, they are veterans of many battles, so their skill level is 2D6 +2 which adds another 3 CP onto them. They total at a base cost of 23 CP. The rest is in their weapons.

If you want I'll explain the weapons later.

Nice. I like the minifigs.

But skulls and chains? To strike real fear, one must wear decapitated heads on stakes from his back sticking up, kidneys strung as a necklace, and transparent jars of mixed entrails decorating everywhere else.

Although this is a bit hard to do in Lego.
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.

I love the incorporation of the skulls into the custom-built weapons. I now plan to steal this technique and tell everyone that I thought of it.

I'm sure its been done before. Probably by the 3vil army. But they're dumb because for all the 3vilness and death that they come up with, I've never seen 3vil used in a brik wars battle.

I've actually built my own jetpack force, although they're far less awesome than these guys. EPIC win, some of the best infantry I've ever seen.

There's nothing I love more than minifigs with colossal weapons strapped to their backs.

**Cough**

Wow, oh how I would love to set those guys against my own power armored/mecha battalion . . . just the mix between these guys with their style and sheer fear factor, against my own battle hardened specialized soldiers, complete with their own white/grey corporate military design ethos . . . 'twould be awesome, not just for the game, but for how it would look on the table! :D

**Wishes that imageshack was working right now**

Those are some damned nice troops, As everyone else has said also, I love the addition of the chains and skulls :D some damn nice greebling. :D

Actually, believe it or not, these guys are very easy to stand up as long as it's a reasonably flat surface.

have and had bigger guns for my minifigs.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.

They look pretty good. I'm curious as to what CP your average army would be, haha.

They're a bit too busy for me, though. I like simple things.
