Also, it'd be cool to make a giant saw vehicle, like a drilling machine but with a saw instead of a drill. Hay, you want motorized swords, you gotta love chainsaw swords.
Also, for you motorized bat lovers...

I have made one that looks good but I can't be arsed putting a picture on (assuming I had a picture) but this is how I went to it:
I had a Lightsaber hilt/handle thingy (light grey) and added one of those chainsaw pieces (grey). the chainsaw piece is like those from the original ice planet series, you know the translucent orange ones, except I think you'd suit a grey one more.
I hope that made sense, and if It didn't I hope someone out there will have initive to post a picture of the pieces.

I get it. I thought of that, but I want to try and make one that looks square and pointed rather than rounded. Also I want to figure out how to attach a power box to it, cuz the thing needs gas to run LoL. Thanks for the idea though.

well I don't know where to get the square box part for the blade (maybe cut

off one side's blades) but the handle thing could be one of those 1x1 with the little pole coming out from the side of the piece vertically. then you get the little technic pieces and snot the blade intot eh underside of the piece.
I'm stretched for time so I'll respod later in more detail

Uhm, for my chainsaw swords I did what he just explained but also put a little "hand guard" on with with one of those little dishes with the hole in them.
For a regular chainsaw I just clip something to the chainsaw piece, usually one of the 1X1's that handlebars are usually connected to. I don't know how you would make it more square, though.

The idea of statting up Space Marines and trying to make their power level and cost somewhat parallel to their Warhammer equivalents has been rolling around in my head since I read this thread. Today I was reading through the 2005 rules again and decided to go for it. Check my work. sz 1.5 / structure level 2 / move 6" / weapons max 3" / mind expert (sz x 2) = base cost 3, move cost 3, mind cost 3
CP=9
Armor=2d10
Move=6"
Skill=1d8
That's a badass marine. Spend 9 CP on a 3" weapon and blast people from a foot away for 3d6 on a roll of 5 or more. Your marine is powerful enough to wield it adroitly. Adjust as necessary for Terminator armor, jump packs, officers and veterans, etc. I've seen a lot of examples of Warhammer Space Marines made of Legos online but can never dig them up when I'm looking for inspiration. The tricky part is getting moveable arms through your shoulder helmets. The key word to search for is often 'hardsuit', people sometimes make Space Marines without realizing it. I guess Starcraft isn't that dissimilar, and there's a whole Dawn of War generation making the things they see in the games. If you want cheaper soldier marines with smaller weapons, stat them at 7 CP with a move of 5" and a normal Mind (1d6 skill, who needs the 1d8 with small weapons). Cut their size to 1 and limit their weapons to 2" max and you can get
Cost=6 CP
Move=5"
Armor=2d10"
Skill=1d6"
Then you're blasting people 9" away for 2d6 with a UR of 4...outgunned by a rifle 10" away? Or your armor makes you invulnerable to such things. Or just rock regular weapons.

I like those models.
Do you have any lego, or is LDD your only resource?

i have lego however they are not well colour coded and are in a jumble. (i also have very few specialized pieces so making these would be impossible for me) note the curves and edges

heres the best attemp to can make of creating a space marine
(it requires cutting horns off of mega blox and painting them green but the pattern on them looks appropriate)

Usually I'm against mutiliating Minifigs, but it's okay in this case since they're Megabloks.
