Attempt to shoot the goblin to the southeast in the throat as planned. Keep as low as possible when doing so.

Adarim: You mean the new goblin, correct? If you shot the goblin you were planning to shoot before then the new goblin would see the arrow fly.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Adarim rolled Ranged 9+1 vs. AC
The arrow flies past the goblin's throat. It flinches and screams:
"Ev boto!"
Fyespon hears the scream, and draws a sword.
"Unhonorable scum! Rezkam!"
The wolf rider shot at by Adarim draws a short sword and heads in the direction the shot came from. The other two draw bows, and charge forward towards Saucix and Gerald.
Saucix rolled Initiative 8+1
Gerald rolled Initiative 16+0
Gregor rolled Initiative 20+1
Nisos rolled Initiative 3-2
Adarim rolled Initiative 6+0
Goblins rolled Initiative 11+1
Gerald and Gregor have a chance to do something before everything goes to hell.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
If the orbs are out in the open, I'd like to make a grab for them and, if I succeed in nabbing them, bolt back into the woods near Saucix and Gerald.
If the orbs remain hidden from my sight, I'll keep an eye out for them but I'm gunning for a backstab on Fyespon as my surprise attack. If it is at all possible, I'd rather take him hostage with my sword to his throat and stop this whole fight before it begins. If goblins don't go in for those kinds of threats, I'll give him a new smile.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
"Bandits! I thought we'd lost them... Fyespon, they're after the orbs! Help us fight them off, and we'll settle for 10 a piece!" I pull out my crossbow and point in the direction of the rocks far to the south. "I think the shot came from over there. If we hurry, we can kill them!" I hope I won't have to fire at my companions, but I will be sure to miss. Hopefully the goblins don't call me on missing on purpose, assuming they believe my ruse in the first place...

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
Gregor can't see any orbs in the open.
Gerald rolled Cha 19+10
Fyespon looks confused for a moment, then points in the same direction as Gerald.
"Dar!"
All goblins are now heading in that direction. The goblin on foot draws a short sword.
Fyespon rides past Gregor's hiding place. He can try a backstab or similar right now!
Adarim rolled Dex 16+10
The bowgoblin closest to Adarim has an arrow ready, but can't see him. The swordgoblin that Adarim shot at doesn't seem to know his exact position either, but is heading straight for him.
Situation:

Saucix: 2/8 HP
Gerald: 4/8 HP
Gregor: 5/6 HP, hidden, in position to backstab Fyespon
Nisos: 1/1 HP, has Protection from Evil, hidden
Adarim: 7/7 HP, hidden
Logan: Healthy, hidden
Opposition:
Fyespon with sword on wolf
Swordgoblin on foot
Swordgoblin on wolf
2 bowgoblins on wolves
Gerald rolled Cha 19+10

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
I weigh the risk versus the reward. But only for a split second because my greed will always overcome my common sense.
I will attempt to capture Fyespon, but I'll play along with this turn of events. My intention will be to make them believe I'm one of the bandits, that I have more friends in waiting, and to obtain the orbs by coercion. But we'll get to that if the following succeeds:
I'd like to spend the backstab to make the goblin leader very aware that I could end his miserable life right here and now. Again, if that doesn't seem likely, I'll try to wound him and (if he still lives) I'll try to capture him then.

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
"Fyespon, stay here and guard the orbs. No need risking their security. I will charge out with your men towards the scoundrels. I only pray we are in time to protect our own orbs." I head with the goblins to the distraction, but since they are on wolves they easily overtake me and charge at the rocks. Once I am out of sight from Fyespon (should he agree that he should wait here and guard the orbs alone), I shall start taking pot shots at the goblins' backs with my crossbow.

It's no longer a matter of silence, but killing efficiency. Shoot the goblin in the chest.
