I'm hardly useless. I want to disarm Fyespon and throw snow in his face. Who wants to be the bad cop?Scratch wrote:Feed dead goblin to Logan, give positive re-enforcement, then assist in looting and tying up sleeping goblins.
So, do we go back to that stone place, or do we head back to town? I recommend that we rest at some point, as me and Saucix are basically useless at this point

On the off chance that he bites or scratches me and I die, I'm out. I'll stand back and watch the proceedings. I'm also fine with camping here, healing up, and then hitting the stone circle again.
If this were Munchkin, that would be one dead animal by now. I'd be wearing a mink coat of protection.Arkbrik wrote:Also, Logan gets a share of the combat XP from any encounters he takes part in.

Nisos pats Logan as the mink chews down on the dead goblin.
The sleeping goblins are tied up and searched. Among the common goblins you find 7 gold pieces. In Fyespon's pack and pockets you find 10 gold pieces, a packet of smelly fishes with far too many legs, one white stone orb... and what looks like a map.

The map is one foot square and drawn on a white cloth, smooth as silk. Looks too fine to be goblin-made. The symbols are similar to the circle-art you saw in the ceiling of that room before.
Saucix recognizes the curvy line at the bottom of the map; it has the same shape as the Eis river. Eisgir would be located on the river, right below the black dot.
The pointy symbols to the right correspond with the eastern mountain range, home of the goblins.
Things found, in summary:
17 gold pieces
One week's ration of fishgrubs
White stone orb
Map
Saucix throws a handful of snow in Fyespon's face. The goblin wakes up, sputtering.

I drop on him with my longsword at his throat.

"Woah man, calm down." I get inbetween Fyespon and the sword and push it away.

No, bad cop bad cop doesn't work. To get information the prisoner must talk to someone who might not slit their throat at the first chance.

Gerald rolled Cha 1+10
Saucix rolled Cha 3+10
"Her wolf, ignorant human!" Fyespon spits.
"I had only one orb. Rest is behind stone door."
(OOC: Jeez, Ornup told you Fyespon was a she.)

Sorry man.
"Goddamn it Gerald, you've stepped out of line. I'm sorry Fyespon for my partner, you've helped a lot. You can go now." I untie Fyespon.
And yes, I intend to let Fyespon go.

...We didn't find out about the orbs yet. Or the symbols on the map.
"I don't have an issue with letting Fyespon go free, but I have an issue with letting her go BEFORE WE GET INFORMATION, which is the reason we tied her up in the first place. It was Nisos's spell of sleep which led to her capture, and so I believe it's in HIS authority to let her go. Not yours."

Re: In the Cold North - Forum RPG
I hold my blade to Saucix and stop him from untying the goblin. "He's right. I'm sick of you making terrible decisions for our group as a whole. You might be paying us, but we're obligated to do the job RIGHT, not just the way you want it done. This goblin," I say with an added spit after the word, "who's gender I care not for, will tell us where this stone door is if it desires even the possibility of escape. In fact, just in case this one has any funny ideas..." as I trail off my blade swings like lightning to sever Fyespon's right hand.
She howls in pain and I lean close. "Just so you know how serious we are. Which stone door do you mean?"
