Nukes

Post by pesgores » Fri Oct 03, 2008 7:21 pm

Ok, i just want to hear your opinion on the stats of nukes (standard ICBM).

Ahem:

-Everything in a 375 feet radius from the center of the explosion would be completely obliterated without damage check( pieces must be contained away from the battlefield);
-Any creature in a 1000 feet radius from the center of the explosion would die in 3 turns due to nuclear dust;
-Any creature creatures placed between 1000 and 2000 feet distance from the explosion would be hit and would die in 10 turns.

Phew! Will someone create a scenario this big?

I am not planning nukes.

It would be fun to destroy the whole scenario, though.

Watch the carnage and then write the report of someone who survived.

It could make for a fun three player scenario.

Tell player A and B that to win, they have to be the first to push the big red button in the middle of the field, and you try to stop them.
And when they do push it, you tell them they just activated a nuke that will explode in a few turn, and watch their armies try to outrun it.

An MKV explosive is techincally known as a Taktikal Nuke. I suppose we could write fallout rules and a list of possible mutations for minifigs who survive the fallout.

My thoughts are nukes=anti-climactic ending to a good brikwar

I'm half tempted to dig out my Warhammer: Chaos box for the mutation deck.

I would never do that. They can, however, become the objective of many missions.

I like the idea of nuking, but I think its should be "weakened" for better playability (for example, in Red Alert 2: when you fire the nuke, it doesn't annihilates the whole map, but indeed does some serious damage).

I like the idea of fallout but I still don't know about a full size nuke, but what about machine guns using radioactive depleted uranium slugs??
