Finally uploaded some pics of my Lego Castle table...

Post by morganm » Thu Feb 20, 2014 3:44 pm

...before the kids destroyed it. Now it's a huge mess. I try not to go all Lord Business on them about it but I draw the line at disassembling the buildings. It's just a huge PITA putting them back together. Worst culprit is my 2 year old baby girl =P Fixed a half destroyed windmill today

Looks awesome! i think you did show the blank table before, right?
And i think you will have a good time once your kids are old enough to play proper Brikwars. Or maybe Quickwars to start with.

Yeah I shared the table a while back. Basically it's ye olde heavy ass folding table with 1x4's nailed to the sides.

We love playing QuikWars! Even ran a QuikWars game at one of our adult game nights; went over well.

Nice castle setup! That sucks about it getting destroyed though. I always got pretty upset when 3 year old mgb wrecked my models.

There's nothing like a 3 year old (brother, in my case) to promote ensuring your builds are "robust" to say the least. Also; what's all that orange-red stuff in the blue half-barrel?

Kids are supposed to destroy. Let the rage flow through them. Soon they won't be able to smash Lego apart with as much fun as they used to anymore, you don't want to take that away from them do you ;)

I do try - now and then- to provide offerings to the god of infant destruction, so long as it's not a MOC I slaved long and hard over, I generally try to give it up as fair game. Most recently destroyed was Jango Fett's Slave I from 2002 ; http://brickset.com/sets/7153-1 Now that was interesting to watch, first, after repetitive shaking whilst being held by the part of the set that resembles a phallus, the set split in two, the edges of the bit that's kind-of like a mollusc's foot then began to break off after repeated hulk-smash like moves. Don't worry though, I made use of the disasembly to create Geoff and Nigel's aerial battle-barge, pictures of which refuse to load onto the computer ATM. :fist:

just 1x1 round studs. Orange mostly but a few lime green and red. I thought there were Lego cherries in there but I don't see them. They must be in another barrel.
