The band should be made of blood daemons and monstrosities. There should also be sprinklers in the ceiling that spray blood like in the first Blade movie.

Or you could have sprinklers in the ceiling that spray nothing.
So when the pyrotechnics set the stage on fire everyone rushes to the one exit and gets trapped and die.
