Oh man, poor little New Jersey, voting for McCain, but the electoral college voted for Obama anyway. Same thing with Maine. Or at least that's what I'm getting from what Moronstudios posted. And Rayhawk, that was awesome, both posts.

EDIT: Right after I posted that I refreshed the page that Moronstudios posted and apparently they got the popular vote numbers backwards and changed them. So Obama won the pop. vote in both Maine and New Jersey.

Stupid website.

Y'all say America is bad and too arrogant. but listen close, If not for us democracy would've stayed in Athens If your country was a colony of Europe then You thank us for your Independence. And if you're from europe thank us for saving your ASSES in WW1 and WW2. Not to mention keeping the REDS out off your front lawn, for thirty years. Sure, I aknowledge what you have done for us, which is alot and then ther is all trade you still bring in. But give credit where its due. Most of us are pretty good human beings, and most of us don't call you lil pieces of shit. You just wanna try and bring us down because we are the big man on campus, but face it, we will be remembered as the most dominant power of the twentieth and early twenty first centuries.
I mean no disrespect, with this. Its just. When I see that red, white, and blue. I tear up, and pray I can do m part for what it represents....FREEDOM....JUSTICE...HOPE....COMPASSION....MORALITY.

all things I wish I saw more here, in the USA.

The U.S joined the war in the last year, and even then they didn't really save anyone's asses. They helped, sure, but they didn't turn the tide of the war.

Uhm, without the US WWI and WWII may have never happened and if we weren't around then someone else would be the most dominant power, so your argument is invalid.

Good for you!

Exercise your democratic right to refuse to vote.

What.
The US had nothing to do with the first world war, which was caused by European conflicts. In fact, until they joined in, the US had a policy of Isolationism, which meant they didn't want any envolvment and they stayed the hell out of it.

The US didn't even have anything with the start of the second war, either. Again, it was caused by conflicts in Europe, and was eventually set off by the invasion of Poland. The US didn't get dragged in until afterwards.

Well, think about how the world would be without any one of the major countries. If one is gone, the whole course of history would have changed.

If the British colonies had not rebelled in the American Revolution think how much stronger Britain would have been. Germany would have thought twice about picking a fight with any smaller nations allied to Britain.

Or that's how I see it. We can't look at how things could have been in reality, but without the American Revolution things would have happened much differently in Europe, and not necessarily worse.

My god, I need to make a vignette about this.
I think those stats only apply to non-Mexicans.
