The Path to Purity
The Lord was truly merciful. He had forgiven the young QuantumSurfer who had strayed from the Lords path. He had given him a purpose- slaying those who had done the same. The young QuantumSurfer had commited the greatest of sins. Nevertheless, the Lord had seen the young one’s intentions. He was to purify the world. Remove QuantumSurfers who spread their grime in the pure lake of Wisdom. He had not originally been a QuantumSurfer. The Lord had granted him the power. For the Lord had seen his dark heart, and he had seen how to purge the darkness. This is the story of the QuantumSurfer who was chosen to cleanse the world.
The war had started some years ago. The Kingdom of Mark had declared war on Empyria to ensure the rights of all Peaches. Emeria had joined Empyria’s cause. The entire Kingdom had been called to arms in the hour of need. There were few who had pulled a high number, and thus they had escaped the military. Heir to the Gottlieb noble family, commonly known as Maverick, had walked free.
Maverick was on the ground, where the explosion’s shockwave had thrown him. The mansion was under attack. Empyrian’s, Emerian’s, it didn’t matter. He knew when he heard the explosive. Get your shite together! He thought. He got up, but soon, he fell again. The shockwave had messed up his balance nerve. Maverick took a deep breath. He stood up again, this time not falling. He walked to the door and wrote a code on the touch screen. They door closed with a wooshing sound, and he knew a small gun had popped out from the opposite side.
He scanned the room. It was his own room, and it had been so for as long as he remembered. On the wall to the left of him hung a copy of the Gottlieb Coat of Arms. A white crane on a green field, carrying a red apple. He walked to the Coat of Arms, and he pressed the apple. The shield pivoted to the side, revealing a weapons chamber. Maverick had learned to shoot the HC sniper rifles when he was a kid. The laserbolt from one was enough to rip through a tank. He grabbed his favorite rifle. It had the name Sofya engraved on it. His late sisters name. He also picked up a hunting knife, one of those with a nasty hook on the end. The doorgun made a sound as it fired upon an unknown enemy. A short scream. Maverick walked to the door. The doorspy revealed the fact that this was an Empyrian soldier.
Maverick walked to the window. There was a balcony outside. He saw smoke coming from the vehicle hangar. The bomb had been to prevent escapes. Maverick walked to the low fence. Below him was another balcony, the one connected to the grand hall. But between the balconies, there was a five meter drop.
Maverick looked down. If he missed the balcony, he would drop another twenty meters to the ground. The lower balcony was slightly bigger than the one he was standing on, and he had about one meter to land on like Bonn-o-Tron. I haven’t earned this nickname for nothing. Maverick thought. He climbed over the fence. He was standing with his leather shoes on about 20 centimeters of ledge. He put the rifle over his shoulder, prayed, and dropped.
As he landed, he made sure to roll over, to disperse the impact over his back and shoulder. He rolled behind a pylon. Maverick looked out behind the pylon. Three Empyrians was patrolling the grand hall. Maverick took the rifle to his shoulder and aimed.
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
The blood was all over the floor. As Maverick continued, he felt a spark of guilt. The second of not paying attention made him slip in the blood. Maverick sat up. The blood was on his hands. He had caused the death of four people. His white suit had been colored red on the front. There was blood on his hands. His hair was sticky and red. There was blood on his hands. There were dripping sounds from the soldiers. There was blood on his hands!
Boots were heard on the marble floor. Six soldiers ran into the room. The aimed their weapons at the boy. In his hand he grasped a knife. A swift movement and a soldier fell to the ground, grasping the handle now sticking out of his eye. A loud explosive noise, and two where pierced by the blue bolt. The boy cranked the gun.
A few minutes after, and the room had sixteen bodies. All the members, but two of the assault squad. One had been killed by Maverick’s door. The floor was covered with blood. After the first kills, they had flooded in. The boy had picked up one of their guns, and with it, he had murdered them all. The blood and gore was everywhere. His suit was red. His hair was sticky. He had trails of tears on his cheeks. There was blood on his hands!
Maverick heard the stomps of boots. Someone was entering the great hall. Maverick lifted the gun into firing position. The sergeant rounded the corner, and Maverick aimed.

Maverick pulled the trigger again.

He raised his head to face the soldier. They looked into each other’s eyes. The sergeant aimed his gun at Maverick.
Maverick didn’t even feel the impact. The bullet penetrated his heart. Everything went to nothing. Maverick was dead.
Maverick opened his eyes. Around him, everything was empty. He tried to make sense of his surroundings. Whenever he had decided that the nothingness was black, it changed to white, and vice versa.
“Am I not dead?” He asked aloud. The words left his mouth as if he was still breathing. But he wasn’t. And he could feel the hole in his chest. His clothes were spotless white, and mended. He tried removing the shirt. There was in fact a hole. But it was not bleeding. Maverick touched the wound. It stung, but it didn’t feel like he had been hit by an armor penetrating bullet.
“Am I not dead?” He asked again.
“Yes, you are. But your consciousness has not yet left your plane of existence. So I pulled it, your consciousness, here.” A voice said, booming like an elephant, yet silent like the voice of a locust.
“But… If I am not dead… Then why am I talking to you?” Maverick asked. He looked around in the nothing, to see if he could spot the owner of the voice.
“Your consciousness is communicating with mine. One of my helpers have seen inside your heart. It has been darkened, but it can be purified. And so you can also help me. I ask of you this thing; If I restore you to life, along with giving you the tools you need to do the task, will you put those unpure to justice?” The voice said.
“How so? Am I to murder all those who sin?” Maverick asked, unsure of the task.
“Only those who have committed the greatest Sin. Those who have killed a fellow Shaper.”
“I guess I can do so, but-“ Was all Maverick said before the nothingness disappeared. It was not an empty void, it was simply darkness. Maverick soon realized that his eyes were closed. He opened them. Above him, he saw a large chandelier. It was oddly familiar, as if it was from his home. Oh, but it is! Maverick thought It is one of the crystal chandeliers from the grand hall!. Maverick looked up. Mere ten meters away stood a person. His back was turned towards Maverick, and he seemed to be a soldier. Then Mavericks memories came back. This man had shot him.
Maverick stood up as silently as he could. He stealthily walked towards the man. He realized that he might need a weapon to kill the man. As the thought passed his through his head, a green blade materialized in his hand. It was a short sword, but it was glowing and it was transparent. The handle felt real, but the sword weighed nothing. He walked up to the man. The blade didn’t make a sound as it cut through air, flesh and bone. The silence wasn’t broken till the head hit the ground.
The man had dropped a communicator. A voice was coming from the speaker. Maverick picked it up.
“Sergeant Doah? Ya still there?” Came a voice from the speaker.
Maverick dropped the communicator and crushed it under his white shoe.
Maverick was standing outside the house. He was no longer in the posh white suit. He was wearing a leather jacket, a tie-dyed shirt and jeans. The house was on fire. He had taken his rifle, the clothing he was wearing and a Gottlieb Family Crest badge. He raised his sword into the air. It began to rain.
“From now on, I will use the name Gottlieb! For it means Love of God! I know you’re hearing me!” Maverick shouted towards the sky, the raindrops pouring down his face.
“I will fulfill the task you belayed upon me!” He screamed, and at the moment the sentence ended, lightning struck his ethereal sword. Maverick simply roared in joy.
We need more fiction! For the greater good and blueberries!

Well so far, it's missing the central point of quantumsurfer stories, which is for people to make ridiculous caricatures of themselves to the point of looking like complete buffoons. Being an all-powerful reality shaper without some kind of satiric twist is just a Mary Sue. Is there a chapter two?

Re: The Path to Purity
There's a load of chapters. Dunnae worry. Maverick's mind will continue to deprave, until he is just like any other Quantum Surfer. Booze is involved. His starts may be noble, but no one is perfect. Look at Obama.stubby wrote:Well so far, it's missing the central point of quantumsurfer stories, which is for people to make ridiculous caricatures of themselves to the point of looking like complete buffoons.
