Your picture looks like Ronald McDonald ate a bunch of happy meals, including the Lego toys, then took a huge dump and you took a picture of it and said it was a diarrhearama.

That's very hurtful, Tzan.

Guess that's why all the bricks turned red. Bloody stool is the worst.

This is an interesting choice of subject matter for your opening scene. Destruction can be tough to compose into anything that doesn't just look like you spilled your figures on the floor and took a photo.

The trouble here is evenness of treatment - there's no part of this diorama that stands out from any other part as being a particular focus or having a particular story to tell.

My number one piece of advice is to be more deliberate about what you're trying to say. This is the aftermath of a specific event; we should be able to tell interesting things about what happened here from the destruction that was left behind. We should have at least a basic idea about the narrative and emotions without having to read the caption under the image.

My number two piece of advice is to give your destruction some breathing room. Bodies and debris don't fall in a nice even coating like snow. Depending on how they got destroyed, they'll be all piled up in some places, while other places are completely clear. Blood streaks and drag marks will show directions of movement. Craters will show where explosions went off.

You want a nice division between relatively anonymous mass destruction to set the scene, with highlight "hero" props and figures to tell the story. Knock back the scene-setting mass destruction parts by limiting their color, piling them into anonymous masses, and taking them out of focus. Put the highlight on the "hero" sections by giving them brighter decoration, better lighting, and making sure they're framed against duller background objects.

Thanks for the critique of my critique. I'll revise accordingly:
This is an interesting choice of subject matter for your opening scene. Destruction can be tough to compose into anything that doesn't just look like the happy meal diarrhea after Tzan goes to McDonald's.

The trouble here is evenness of treatment - there's no part of this diorama that stands out from any other part as being a more solid or chunky diarrhea, or having a particular story to tell about what was in Tzan's happy meal.

My number one piece of advice is to be more deliberate about Tzan's happy meal order. This is the aftermath of a specific event; we should be able to tell whether he had a cheeseburger or chicken mcnuggets. We should have at least a basic idea about whether his diarrhea was explosive, or if it simply flowed out like the guts of a disemboweled carcass into an overfull porta-potty.
I was going to finish this critique revision but I'm really hungry all of a sudden.

Two Girls One Cup themed McDonald's are the best.
