Who says anything about it being in Boston? The fallout folks confirmed that the "Fallout: Shadow of Boston" thing was a hoax by some Russians and wasn't happening.

If anything, I think that the town ofDayglow is the best location for a new fallout game. It's a town that's referenced in several fallout games as one of the most developed cities in the NCR, but has never actually been seen. Now I may be biased since it's supposed to be located on the ruins of my hometown of San Diego (often shortened to "daygo" for slang therefore Dayglow), but it's also in a convenient location where the player could theoretically visit the Los Angeles boneyards.

Who knows? Maybe a piece of the Master survived or something and he's back for revenge? It caters to longtime fans while also introducing a completely new world. The town also just-so-happens to be a haven for ghouls and humans to work together, which is a theme ripe for exploitation by any number of bad guys seeking to manipulate that. It even gives a good opportunity to play as a Ghoul!

That "teaser website" was false. It was s hoax. We've known it was hoax since 2013.

What I was saying was that a fake teaser for shadow of boston does not mean fallout 4 won't actually be there.

Enter Fallout: Detroit where the conditions of the metropolitan area have improved!

In all seriousness, I would love Fallout: Chicago to be a thing. I figure that it's far enough away from all the previous games to come up with something new storywise.

I just want a new fallout game! Boston would be cool though.

How about a fallout game where you have to recover a spaceship and go the a moon!

We were just talking about that here a couple of days ago. It seems that Chicago is very much in the pop culture public consciousness right now. I've talked to a bunch of folks who feel the same way. Either that or someplace famous outside of the U.S.

It is?

Anthony Bourdain just did a tv show based in Massachusetts.
The first line he delivered was: "This is where I did my first bag of heroin."

Doing a game set in the rebuilt parts of the NCR would be cool, but I think it would be too different from the rest of the series (particularly the latest 2) to really feel like fallout. Though I think its the perfect idea for some DLC.

And no, nothing more with the Master. We've had 2 games dealing with his super mutants already (not to mention the ones in 3, and all the crap in the non-mainseries games).

I think some of the games outside the main series have been set around that area, but I don't recall how canonical they are.

We should start writing our own script for Fallout 4.

One more question, though. Should we keep that to this thread or move it into a new thread? For setting, I'm thinking either Boston or Denver, somewhere familiar, but fresh. A main antagonist would be difficult, but I'm sure the lexicon of knowledge that is BrikWars could find a way.

Keep it in this thread, and as for the main antagonist, The Institute from the blade runner quest in 3 is supposed to be somewhere in the New England area. They could work as a villain.
