Re: Quadrarian Saga Season 1 (Encounter 3)
*Demo guy thinks*
"Oh man, if I could blow up that fusion core that'd be SOME fireworks display orright! I'm sure General Arburst would approve grandly...."
The rest of the Wantirnians are to take up standard offensive positions.

I also book it for the truck cover. Failing that, nearest cover available. Fire off a shot at one of the guys one of my allies fired at. Unless he's dead, then pot shot another mando.

Yell " I will never surrender! " then run for cover behind the truck and pray to the great god Iona Fortune.

Re: Quadrarian Saga Season 1 (Encounter 3)
ENCOUNTER 3 TURN 1
Orders are resolved as best fitting.
Avius does not know a move called 'Deadeye.' As such, he must improvise.
Using his heroic feat for the turn, he attempts to multi-fire his pistol and critically hit three targets in the closest squad (critical hit is when a critical success is rolled to hit, grants double damage). Rolling an 8 (Critical 6+2) out of 8 required (base skill 2, +1 for each target, +1 for each crit), he manages to nail three Mercs.

The critical hits pay off, killing two of the three targets outright. (Damage of 7 (4+3), 6 (5+1) and 5 (2+3) respectively, against 5 (4+1) armour for the helmeted Mercs.)

He is too busy yelling to remember to move, hoping his superior armour will hold him up.
Bravo bravely screams his defiance before bravely running for his life.

Fortunately, the god Iona Fortune favours piety, and smites one of the Mercs (random supernatural encounter).

The bolt kills the merc (7 damage from D12). 8 Wartirnian mercenaries remain.

Parts blasts another merc, killing him. (3 to hit, 7 (5+2) damage)

Arius headshots the last member of the nearby group. (6 to hit, 6 (3+3) damage)

He then takes cover behind the truck as Chan takes a shot at the rocket launcher bodyguard guy.
But he gets excited and pre-emptively adjusts for recoil, shooting Guy in the head (critical fail (1) to hit, not considered critical hit on Guy).

Luckily, M-Thronian training requires troops polish their visors to a mirror-sheen, and the shot rebounds harmlessly (Critical fail (1) on damage).
Chan legs it to the cover of the truck, fearing retaliation.

Faced with the firefight, Sly Blue reflexively pulls the trigger on his blaster. Unfortunately, Guy has staggered in front of the muzzle.

Fortunately for Guy, the shot fails against Guy's fixed helmet. (2 to hit, 2 damage against 5 (4+1) armour)
He then ducks behind Avius (mistaking him for Arius) as Guy takes a pot shot, which fails to hit anything at the extreme range (3 to hit, 5 required (out of range)).

Guy then joins his 'buddies' behind the truck. Possibly for revenge?

The remaining Wartrinian Mercenaries attack the assembled heroes.
The halftrack gunner is nailed by the combined fire of the Western squad, lacking alternative targets.

The missile guy pegs Avius and Sly Blue with a missile, but fails to do any damage (3 damage).
The shotgun guy follows suit, also aiming for the pair but failing to do sufficient damage (-2 (2+1-5) and 0 (4+1-5) damage respectively).
[Unfortunately no pic]
The General then wings Parts, who shrugs it off - it's only a flesh wound. (5 (3+2) Damage/9 Armour)

Archie steps forward onto the ruined tank, shouting a Challenge at General Arburst.
He shoots his flamer at the Western group, dealing no damage but igniting all present.

Challenge
If/when a hero wishes to engage an enemy hero in single combat/one-on-one firefight/western shootout/arm wrestle, he/she may issue a Challenge. This effectively does nothing, except possibly a hit to your rep if refused. It is expected that all nearby persons will stop to spectate the undertaking of the challenge. Any persons interrupting a challenge will possibly be mobbed by any and all spectators.

END TURN 1. SEND ORDERS FOR TURN 2 NOW
Footnote:
Firstly, don't mind any extra props on the battlefield. I didn't notice them until after the shoot, and hopefully they'll be kept to a minimum in the future.
Secondly, I'd like feedback on the dice rolling comments. I like to keep everything above board, but I know that everything can be faked, even if I took photos of the dice. So if you want the stats to continue or if you think they're a distraction, please notify me.
Thirdly, that will be all.

Good golly, Guy.
I don't mind you including the stats. Can be funny sometimes to see. I just go ahead and assume you're keeping it honest but I wouldn't be bothered if you weren't.
Is that wall scalable? It looks like it is, so if I can, I want to try to get to the top of the wall. I need to loot me a better gun. If any of these jackasses shoots me in the head again, I fire back immediately.

Re: Quadrarian Saga Season 1 (Encounter 3)
Darn it. Didn't go as well as I expected. So much for the offensive.
Request for backup and an interceptor craft, as well as a mech. One of the men yells out to his comrades and attempts to provide a moral boost (What I say goes, skill boost to nearby friendly units)
"General! Long time no see. Why, since that battle in G.R. 2013. What do you say to a duel?" Archie the Demoman calls out over the din.
The General points his sword at his challenger. "So be it. Be awed at the sight of my prowess!"

Duck out from behind cover and shoot a blue dude, then get back behind cover and keep watch.

Re: Quadrarian Saga Season 1 (Encounter 3)
chan notices the flame turret, witch appears to still be operable. quickly runs some calculations in his head: turret+unlucky mercs=BBQ . with a mad smile on his face, he aims a shot at the demo trooper and fires, then checks to see if the turret still works.

Grab the SMGs from the fallen mercs and run back to the halftrack. Then, watch and see if the challenge is heeded.

Shoot at some mook. That's all I'm good for, anyway.
