So there was a life on mars trike as well as a mars mission one?

The mars mission trike was the only set I got from that series, the other sets were to generic and did not have any especially interesting parts in my opinion. The astronauts were pretty good looking though.

Not only that, but they had the same cockpit and a very similar style for the wheels/suspension assembly. The only real difference was that Mars Mission's trike had an alien containment pod on the back of it.motorhead fan wrote:So there was a life on mars trike as well as a mars mission one?

Re: The official LOOT topic
Yes, I know, this is like the third loot post in a week. But I've been out of lego-distributing territory for four months, and after a few Bricklink orders arrive I'll be done purchasing for a good while.. plus, frankly, I'm kinda excited for this one.

Picked up this excellent fellow. I have to say, he's gotta be one of my favorite characters in the Minifigures line, period. Space mining is awesome. (Here's looking at you, ZMC.)

Ended up with the Ultra Agents set Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown. I think Toxikita is an incredibly stupid name for a character with so much potential, but that's subject to change. Regardless, here's the Green Transparent study lab. I have to say the details and parts in this set are fantastic. Includes a video camera/laser cannon, twin missile launcher, two green lightsaber blades just waiting to be attached to handles and wielded, and a really original rotating-door that acts like an airlock. The agent with the night-vision goggles and Dr. Octopus arms, wielding a Blue Transparent Chainsaw is also full of Brikwars potential.

By far my favorite part of this set, the two villains themselves, dubbed by Lego as Toxikita and Retox. However, I think they'll likely end up with names more like Sir Ratticus and Emily Greene, a badass couple who met under service of the Ebony Millinery and together became one of the most efficient organized crime duos in Brikverse history.

While she was born with the ability to control the power of Transparent Green, he came upon his abilities in a chemistry lab accident on the steampunk world New London, transforming his body into a living host for the energy of Transparent Green itself, whilst rendering him immune to the otherwise damaging effects of Transparent substances. Finding that they worked unusually well as a team, they forged a reputable career over the next ten years, primarily in infiltrating and raiding the more vulnerable ZMC storehouses for less-than-reputable buyers.

But no epic villain is personally satisfied without an epic vehicle, and as such they share this heli-chemical bomber. Designed with chemical weapons of Ratticus' design, and loaded with Green Transparent to allow Emily manipulation of the vehicle, it allows them to make swift attacks from above and still carry a large cargo in the yellow side-pods.

Re: The official LOOT topic
A few Bricklink orders came in today, plus a buck fifty's worth from a dollar store.

Two derpy orange birds and their Mariokart-size jets, and one large-eyed serial killer and her getaway vehicle, with small green accomplice. I know the pheonix guys are supposed to be fearsome and all, but they have an uncanny resemblance to Howard the Duck.

Bags full of glorious fire and blood for Forum Battles. Also a new blue-visored helmet for Captain Lance Silversun, a cape and cane for Sir Sporktimus that don't strip Darth Vader and the Dragonblood wizard for parts, and a new commander for a USSSR troop. Lego Drome Racer's Nitro Pulverizer, and then a number of other bricks and accessories for future use.

It would be interesting to see Ratticus and Emily in a battle vs the ZMC someday. Zupponn vs Emily would be like a wizard duel since they both have transparent manipulation powers.

Re: The official LOOT topic
Finally got to unpack my last order
REALLY like Brick Forge's new "Rigged" system. Most things are compatible with Lego round, hollow, studs (all the larger backpacks and satchels for example) The engineering of the pin and socket is perfect; fits tight yet allows things to rotate and doesn't feel like it will break easily. We've had so many lame gimmick "improvements" or "features" brought to the Lego system over the years it's easy to be jaded and not give things like this a chance... Rigged features are an outstanding improvement and perfectly in line with what many of us love about the Lego system... simple, 0durable, and most importantly allows flexibility for your imagination.

Another small parcel of Bricklinks parts, including a Taun-Taun, four goblin/martians with axes, four rats, a beardly commander fellow who I really like, a robot punkster, a variety of weapons and parts, and most importantly my first-ever OTC.

Which means that Warhead finally gets the weapon he deserves, the beardly captain will do just as well with a greatsword, and a USSSR Kommander looks on.
