The Vostok star fighters have been the staple of the Czech-politician space force for many years. However, new technologies have been developed since they were first brought into service and their primary rival, the Assyrian Star Empire, has developed more advanced star ships. This led the Czech-Reublicans to design a new star fighter, and the result is the MiG II, which is superior to the Vostok in most respects.

The Czech-Republic does not have the same resources as the ASE, and as such in order to compete with them they must often copy and steal the technologies of other factions. The MiG is a prime example of the Czechs copying another factions designs, and then modifying them to suit their own purposes. The MiG II is basically a beefed up FED Racer, given a different fuselage and a cosmetic makeover, but the wing mounts and engine are very similar to the original.
The MiG II is faster and more maneuverable than the Vostok, and has better armour, but is not as versatile. Vostoks have more weapon mounts and customization options, so it can be better tooled to specific situations than can the MiG II. The MiG II displayed here is rather typical. It has two wing-mounted concussion missiles and two forward-mounted heavy laser cannons. The lasers can be swapped for other weapons and the missiles can be swapped for torpedoes.
Vostoks will likely remain the main Czech-politician light star fighter for some time, but MiG II star fighters will slowly replace them.
Here's my current Czech-politician fleet:

Here's the same fleet on a suicide mission. :D
That's all for now.

Great job!

Well I've had a fleet for a while, I just trashed the big fat one and then tried to make a FED racer with the parts, but didn't have the curvey parts to make the cockpit so I built the MiG instead.

That's the one I trashed. It sucked anyway. CR stuff is supposed to be kinda chunky and ghetto looking since the CR isn't exactly rich, but this one was just lame. The MiG II is still kinda ghetto like the Vostoks but it's also got a hint of being more technologically advanced because of its smoother shape. I feel like I could build stuff that looks way nicer, maybe for the Assyrians since they're supposed to be advanced, but I don't have enough pieces for SNOT and I have very few curved parts. My Lego collection is kinda old. The most recent thing I bought was the little Imperial Dropship thing because it had 3 Storm Trooper minifigs and I didn't have any, but before that it was two of the Arc 130 gunships from like 2006 or something which I used to help make the big Assyrian death cruiser... Point is I don't have many new pieces. If you look, you'll see my CR fleet is made of old grey, not new grey since I simply don't have much of the new to use. Also, the hinges for the wings, yea I know those bits are old and I've had some since the days of Space Police II, but for me they're still rare. I have maybe 20 total. Just something small that keeps me from SNOT. So yea that's what you've got with me lol.

Don't feel bad, I have a very outdated collection, too.

The wings and guns are perfect. The engine could be integrated into the fuselage a little better, but the rest is flawless.
