The backstory behind my army is as follows. After the colapse of the galactic colonial government in R-2552 chaos insured across the galaxy and the once great colonies of this imense empire fell to ruin. However, a rogue unit from the GCG lead by their charismatic leader, Lieutenant Yankee, broke off and formed their own faction, the alliance to restore the colonial government. Thier mission is to recolonize the many planets once controled by this vast empire and restore it to its former glory.
This is the army. Not very big right now but I hope to build it up pretty significatly.
Lieutenant David "the damn Yankee" O'Conner. A ruthless tactician and veteran of many conflicts. He has a short temper and is quick to order troops to thier deaths for what he sees as the greater good.
Galactic Rangers. The once proud special forces Of the GCG the Galatia Rangers are a tier one special operations unit consisting of highly trained and highly skilled covert operators. When entering battle, it is customary for them to carry a both ceremonial and functional plasma blade, but not mandatory.
Colonial marines. The standard infantry unit of the ATRTCG the colonial marines are a highly skilled naval infantry unit that have been trained to handle most general purpose tasks from close quarters combat to military free fall.
Damage control specialist. ATRTCG damage control specialists are specialized mechanix trained in all aspects of damage control and vehicle repair. All of them carry a shoulder fired fire suppression weapon and a full compliment of tools.
Vehicle operators. ATRTCG vehicle operators are general purpose drivers and pilots capable of piloting most vehicles and aircraft. All of them carry a small oxygen supply incase they are shot down in space as well as a shotgun or other back up close quarters weapon.
The storm bigger IFV. This infantry fighting vehicle is a light armored and highly mobile light armored vehicle equine with a 105mm rail gun and four supplementary point defense laser weapons. Although not capable of going toe to toe with full most full on tanks it is quite capable of fighting other light armor and supporting nearby infantry.
And in keeping with the color scheme, an orange motor cycle.
