This looks like fun and I think I have a good idea for a vignette or something. I love that you're doing these contests, Quantum. :D

Wowee, we've got 10 entries so far. That's awesome. I think they're all Brik by Brik entries, but that's okay. I do hope to see some drunken builds here in a few days though, what with St. Patrick's Day coming up and all. Might be funny.

I did 2 last night. I'll post them today. Do we need to post pictures of us drinking too? Because I didn't do that.

Nah, honor system. Anyone who wants to win so badly that they only pretend to get trashed has missed the point entirely anyway.

I think the alcohol has actually improved my ability to build. With that said, I'll throw in a picture of some of the bottles potential

Two questions:
1. Would it be acceptable to submit pictures of a battle scene (i.e. a real battle that is being played)?
2. If the above is accepted, would I still post it in the armory?

If you mean Concave Dolphin could benefit from being run over by a tank, I think they already have.

Sure, that's not too far off the mark of a vignette. You still have to build stuff, which is what the contest is for, so the judges will judge based on what you've presented. The whole battle won't be under review, just the images you select that represent the builds you created.

And sure, post them here. They'll have the BB16 ID tag, so we'll know what they're for.

Can LDD be submitted under the drunken madness category?

Maybe a drunken madness LDD to go along with the bricks one?

Drunken Madness is all encompassing. It doesn't matter whether the build is real or digital, so long as you're legally drunk whilst doing it.

Actually, on that score, I'm thinking that it's okay to edit for this contest. I didn't want people editing their brikfics for the FicFest because a.) it's a two month long contest and b.) it's a lot of material for the judges to take in. So expecting judges to go through all that stuff in a week's time seemed a little extreme. Better if they could read it when it came out and either set aside their judgement then or go back and skim to remind themselves and judge it during the judging week. With battle reports/forum battles/chat battles, most of the time, there is no real need to edit or the edits would be generally negligible to the overall narrative and structure of the piece. So it didn't really matter.

With builds, I think, it matters even less so. Despite the fact that we're already up to 14 (!!!) entries halfway through the month, each entry is only a handful of pictures and maybe a paragraph of text. The judges will have plenty of time during judging week to see everything and make fair judgments. So I think we'll allow edits during the contest period only. No edits after April 3.

I've got two more entries in my main army thread. Should I put them in separate threads?
