Well I never will watch spongebob any way cos its stupid.

So is pokemon go. I imagine seeing a bunch of people running around a park getting amazed about non physical creatures would be quite hilarious. I reckon people who play this need to get a life. Sorry if I caused any 'offense'.

Yeah, but how dense can your parents be if they think Spongebob can affect your mental health?

Woah, so now you are calling my parents dumb!? We didnt even have the channel that spongebob was on, so this argument is kinda pointless.

Hey I just noticed, I am starting up some drama, something silverdream is really desperate for, hmmm....

So which is it, that you didn't have the channel or your parents didn't let you?

As someone who has played pokemon fom gen 1 to current this is the most pleb tier opinion I have ever read. R/B/Y were awful games with loads of bugs, bad game design and not a lot to do in them. G/S/C were good improvements and I spent more time on them (about 150 hours) but gen4 is the one were I spent 400+ hours messing around including competitive battling with friends and trying to fill out the dex. Platinum is an amazingly fun pokemon game and the G/S remakes were excellent as well (and a bit more challenging that the originals).
I think there are people who played pokemon as a kid and then people who like pokemon. Whichever one you played as a kid is the best one and the new ones suck because you don't actually like pokemon. Sort of like Power Rangers even though the original one was god awful and apparently the quality picked up a lot after a few years.

Every pokemon game has the exact same design and too little to do with them. You pick one of three starters, catch some critters, travel from town to town collecting gym badges, fight some team, then win the league. Until they make a main series entry that mixes things up a bit, then R/B/Y/G/S/C will continue to the best games, because they might as well all be the same game. Playing a modern Pokemon game is now just busywork.

Have owned Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Y and Alpha Sapphire. I also played White for a bit on emulator. The only ones of those I didn't complete being Alpha Sapphire and White. I keep considering getting Soul Silver simply because I loved those games, but Alpha Sapphire made me realise how dulled my nostalgia was.

Anyway, I still maintain that Pokemons golden age was the GB/C originals, simply due to the fact the franchise was at the height of its popularity, and the games were still fresh. As for the silver age, you could make arguments for a lot of the games covering that, for me it would be R/S/FR/LG/D/P/P/HG/SS, but that is debatable.

You can't argue that having to save between changing boxes, not being able to catch pokemon if your box is full, unsorted bag, limit to how many items you can carry, etc. is good game design. That all these things were fixed from gen1 to 2 proves the original games these days are almost unplayable. They aged extremely poorly and I'm someone who almost exclusively plays retro.

6 year old me managed pretty well, and 6 year old me couldn't tie his fucking shoelaces. Check with your GP that you aren't becoming mentally boneriffic in your old age.
