Shippy only seems uncharacteristic because Dr. X used the old-school method of building on him. His other models are of the newer streamlined styles, but this one hearkens back to the olden days of brick building (especially that cockpit).

Eh, I think he just looks too busy for me. I like a lot of Dr. X's stuff because it's so smooth and Shippy just has a lot of greebling.

Yes. Shippy started out as an old-style doodle. Unfortunately, this has led to some of the meaner ships at his school calling him names like 'lumpy' and 'mcnugget'.
